Everyone want's to lay our problems at Ramsey's feet, as if Gibbs is infaliable, does anyone really believe Brunnel is as bad as he looked last season? Brunnel was having a tremendous year for the Jag's. before he was hurt the season before and now we are to believe he couldn't throw a ball if his life depended on it? Most of Ramseys problem's are Gibbs problems, the better Gibbs is this year the better Ramsey will be this year.
Brunell played well but I'm not sure I'd call 2 TD pases in 3 games tremendous

I tend to agree with Offiss on this. Though Brunell was an idiotic pickup to begin with between his contract and the draft pick, I think he's better than what he looked like. Granted the line looked like a seive for the first few games, I don't think Brunell really knew what Gibbs wanted to do, I think he'd be better if he played today, but I don't think that great.
Mark Brunell JAC 484 82 54 2 0 65 89.7
484 yards in 3 games isn't bad at all. If he kept on pace he would have had 2581 yards for the year. When you have a RB like Fred Taylor to bang it in you probably won't throw for a lot of TDs. A 66% completion rate is pretty solid too. That's a lot to lose in a year.

Brunell threw for over 500 yards after the first 3 games of last season. Didn't really lead to much in the long term though. I like Brunell, I really think he's one of the better quarterbacks of the past decade and I feel bad that he struggled last year and I don't know whether he will regain his form
But he has to be held at least slightly accountable for his poor performance last year.

Of course, TAFKAS. I think he's 75% accountable, but I think there were other circumstances.

You know I didn't look up the number's on that one, but I knew he was having a great start and completing a high percentage before he was injured, I didn't realize that it was only 3 games.
Even so I just can't believe he was as bad as he looked last season, even though I was dead set against the trade to begin with.

I don't believe people feel Gibbs is infaliable and I will be first to say that Gibbs looked quite rusty in his playcalling and clock management this past year - which is to be expected. I do believe Brunell is as bad as he was this past year only because of his injury and his rusty skills. There isn't many NFL quarterbacks that can be out for what, almost two seasons, and come back to play awesome -- especially when you're out because of a serious injury.
It could be that Brunell will play alot better this season - who knows? I hope he does - I still think its a great idea to have a proven veteran QB on your team rather than those who haven't proven themselves as playoff QBs or haven't even proven themselves as an NFL qb.

I hope Brunell doesn't get the chance to show us, because that means Ramsey is either A) stinking it up or B) got hurt.
