Add to that an OC that will hopefully learn to adapt to situations and run the ball more. Am I 100% confident on this o-line situation? No. But fans keep talking about as if we are rolling out the same line from last year. Schneed10 05-03-2023, 01:50 PM BsoVhCL-9wI First thought, damn this guy's running style looks an awful lot like B-Rob, he just won't go down Completely agree, he's a B-Rob clone. Looks like he has decent speed, like B-Rob before he got shot speed. I think we're looking at a clone of Robinson and thus I don't know that I'd expect Rodriguez to be active on gamedays unless someone is dinged up. Rodriguez can pass protect some too so maybe he gets a 3rd down back role, but if you look at what Bienemey had in KC it was Jerrick McKinnon in the 3rd down back role. A fast dude that can catch and block. I'm not sure a bruiser like Rodriguez is the ideal 3rd down RB. I think they'll look to sign a 3rd down back like McKinnon which makes Rodriguez the depth guy for when something happens to Robinson or AG. Fully agree with this, I see this being the line to start unless they pick up somebody else, and probably the #1 most important thing that will help the line is the scheme change from Turner to Bienemey. I think the ball is coming out faster with EB. nonniey 05-03-2023, 03:22 PM Starting a rookie center with a 2nd year QB sounds like a bad idea. Gates is definitely looking like the starter to begin the season. I think the idea was to have a vet to back up Roullier if and when he gets hurt again. Risky given Roulier's injury history but Gates isn't starter material. nonniey 05-03-2023, 03:24 PM Film Session: Why the Commanders selected CB Emmanuel Forbes at 16 (https://www.hogshaven.com/2023/5/3/23709321/film-session-why-the-commanders-selected-cb-emmanuel-forbes-at-16) Same reason the Redskins picked Amerson earlier than they should have several years back. Good chance Roullier ends up getting cut. sdskinsfan2001 05-03-2023, 04:03 PM Would be cool if Stromboni can beat out Gates. Leno Paul Stromboni Cosmi Wylie Gates as No. 1 swing C/G. Daniels as No. 1 swing T. Really hope we can add a legitimate swing tackle after the post-draft cuts that will be coming up. Don't think Daniels playing year 1 at T would be the best if Leno or Wylie go down. MTK 05-03-2023, 04:12 PM Would be cool if Stromboni can beat out Gates.
