Do you really think the VP picks moves the needle that much in either direction? I don't personally.
I think the never Trump vote will be even stronger this time around, haven't we all had enough at this point? The guy is just beyond exhausting.
IMO , with Biden running trump had it all sewn up. I didn't think Biden dropping out would change anything and I was wrong . Harris has energized the Democrats and all never trumpers . While I wanted Kelly as VP no one has given a good reason Walz is a bad pick? All the trump supporters I know that don't like him but hated Biden are now all turning to Harris. I'm shocked with the stunning turn of events and like you I don't think Walz pick as VP is as bad as Vance, why would Walz sink Harris but Vance can't sink trump???

I'll give you that it will likely be even stronger than 2020, but it won't be as strong as it was 1 week ago. Example a week ago I think Harris had a decent chance of taking Georgia and N. Carolina now it's less of a chance.
She's moved on him like a bitch
In new Marist poll, Harris makes astronomical move on Trump (https://www.nj.com/news/2024/08/in-new-marist-poll-harris-makes-astronomical-move-on-trump.html)
In a new poll released Tuesday night, Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, has taken an enormous lead on former president Donald Trump among independent voters.
Harris is up nine points with that group (53%-44%) after being down 14 points with them when she launched her campaign just two weeks ago.

You're probably right. It should though. The VP matters in the sense that he or she is only one (fill in the blank) away from being the Commander in Chief.
Granted, it doesn't happen often so that's probably not something everyone is considering.

A requirement to be a democrat voter is to a habitual, degenerate liar. If you expect a democrat to be politically honest, you're naive or stupid.

Quite a bit of both Biden's and Harris's support came from people like me who were voting against Trump (which likely made up about 30% of her support) Our votes were very reluctant for her as it was and by picking another progressive (and a populist one at that) it was essentially a slap in the face to independents and the Never Trump/GOP conservatives that made up that group. She basically told us to go pound sand and she doesn't need our votes. In my office alone 2 that would have voted for her if she picked Kelley (especially Kelley), Shapiro or any moderate told me they are now going to vote for Trump and she lost my vote as well (I will sit out). As you posted she's making a move thinking all she needs is her base. She read the audience wrong the anti-Trump vote was more important than her base support and now she will likely lose. Lets see what the polls say in 2 weeks.
What is interesting and yes it has only been primaries but democrats have opted to vote out progressives in favor of more moderate candidates over the last few weeks, yet she doubled down on a progressive over a moderate. I can't imagine democrats not voting for her against Trump because of that but we will see, that rejection of progressive policies is not exclusive to moderate democrats.

Allow me to speak for Chico.
No, we haven't had enough. In fact, we want more. We wanna bathe in Trump's bath water so his greatness will wash all over us like an erotic cologne. As soon as I heard he got shot I drove straight to Pennsylvania and offered to suck his ear gently back to health. Just doing what any real patriot would've done. I want him to be my dictator for life. I wanna suckle at the tit of greatness.

not sure your brush could get any more broad
it's especially funny considering who the Republican candidate is and his track record when it comes to honesty
I was drunk and pissed about the Braves. And they keep piling on. Just in general, not in a very good overall mood about life right now either. That isn't anyone else's problem though. I'm an asshole for that post. My apologies.

Whoa, what the hell SD. I thought we were on civil terms here my guy.
Also that's a huge stretch when the conservative candidate lies every time he opens his mouth.
See my last post. I was taking out life on everyone else. A lesson I already know but can't actually implement on a regular basis: Best to not post anything about politics if other things are pissing you off already.
No excuses. I said it. That's my fault.
