One world order? Globalist? You are starting to sound like a MAGA. What happened? And it actually was a good bill, stronger than anything Trump could legally do on the border if he gets in and after the election the Dems will have no incentive or desire to pass a bill like this whether they win or lose. Make no mistake Biden absolutely wrecked the border and deserves most of the blame, but what Trump did, like he always does, is put himself before country. (Oh and that Pork? Ukraine, Israel and the Pacific security assistance were critical support to US interests - but again for Trump - it is fuck US interests mine are more important).

Fuck Trump. He didn't accomplish jack shit. I have been conservative since June 23, 1983. Well before Trump ever fucking came along into politics, let alone being a "conservative". There is not one political position I hold that is influenced by Trump in any way.

Sadly, whoever our next president is, is going to be someone that does nothing to help America. I'm going to vote for some random person simply because I try to always vote in at least the presidential and my state's senator elections, but my enthusiasm is at a 0%.

I don't think I was crying, ahh, but maybe I was. Me and politics are like serenity now. Serenity now, insanity later. I really wish I didn't care, because we're tanking (I think we can all agree on this, but disagree on whose more at fault), and it's not stopping. I'm glad I grew up when I did. The 90's were sweet. I wouldn't want to be growing up in this era.

I have a question for you. What do you think a globalist is? I think many think globalist means putting US interests behind some international world order. When imo the reality is the current world order is a US hegemony. The purpose for all foreign aid is to support US Interests/hegemony. Some think being a hegemonic power is bad/evil, but historically, going back thru ancient history, hegemonic periods are far more peaceful than non-hegemonic periods.

Dipping my toe back into this conversation. Growing up believing Ronald Reagan was the best modern day president, I am disgusted with the options that our system is currently presenting. And even more disgusted with the Republicans in charge of the house at the moment. Our government works best in moments of consensus or crisis, but the House Republicans clearly don't want this government to work at all.

If Nikki Haley is the Republican candidate, she likely will have my vote. If it's a Biden Trump rematch I guarantee Trump won't get my vote this time, but would it go to Biden? i dunno.

No Republican House member will get my vote for sure.

Do you seriously and honestly believe you need a bill to enforce already existing laws on the books?

Explain how illegals crossings were at a 35 year low with the previous administration too a record all time high with this administration?

It’s laughable at the complete and utter dishonesty at this point. Biden has the power to enforce border security

Easy explanation is that they have been taught our amnesty laws by far left NGOs (that want open borders). No laws on the books fixes that. This bill would have. Over 90% of illegal migrants now claim amnesty which ties the executive branches hands. This bill would have ended catch and release and would have expedited amnesty hearings so that most of them could be deported. No way the Dems agree to that again after the election. Trump basically wrecked the fix to the border for an election advantage. As always Trump before country for him and his followers.

As for the 35 year low that is only when 2020 is taken into account and 2020 was a planetary wide shutdown of migration which skews that statistic. If you look at 2017-2019 those years were worse than Trump's predecessor. That Trump was good on the border is a myth, but yes he was better than Biden.
