😂😂😂😂
Ruhskins 03-20-2023, 02:14 PM This is probably a good time to remind that:
1. Anyone can now buy a blue check on Twitter
2. Like JP said, someone like Adam Schefter or some high profile reporter will likely be the person to break the news once the team sale is done.
EdmundDorf 03-20-2023, 03:32 PM Other owners need to approve before a sale can be completed, owners meeting this coming weekend, that is most likely when it will be announced
Schneed10 03-21-2023, 10:26 AM Why are we stupid? Everyone knows the adage 'you can't believe everything that you read' and yet here we are believing something has credence because some guy on Twitter bought a blue check mark.
Put some weight in the source's credibility, for god's sake. If you don't know who is posting the information, then you should be assuming it's wrong until it's corroborated by somebody who you do know.
If you see Schefter, Rapoport, Jeremy Fowler, JP Finlay, John Keim, Ben Standig, or somebody like that confirming it then you can believe it. And if this unknown person on Twitter is right enough times and corroborated by other credible sources, then you can start lending some credence. Until then assume it's bullshit.
Jesus Christ guys, critical thinking much?

i just noticed the blue check mark, what does that even mean in the twittervers

Prior to the Musk Twitter takeover, blue check marks indicated that the account was a verified public personality account (i.e. celebrities, journalists, politicians, etc., etc.). However, nowadays, any yahoo can pay to have a blue check on their Twitter account.
I know that that sale of the team has been covered by the financial media. But, from the sports side, this type of breaking news will only come from the likes of Schefter, Rappaport, Fowler; or local reporters like Keim, JP, Standig, or Nicki Jhabvala.

Regardless of whom it is I can't see the other Owners turning it down, I mean anything has got to be better.

No, you are right , but they like the attention.

While you are basically correct, I think after 20+ years of torture and the feeling until recently that he would never sell, we may want to be a little more understanding of the desperation of some to get it over with. Although, something tells me that your response is also reflecting the emotional rollercoaster the fan base is on.
