Thank god we got rid of him, he’s made out of glass:
Former Pro Bowl guard Trai Turner, who just signed this week with the New Orleans Saints, tore his quadriceps and is out for the season, per source.

Oh man. That sucks. Never wish injury on anyone (with the exception of DAL, NYG, and PHI :), but glad we didn't bring him back. The projected O-line doesn't impress on paper, but he wouldn't have added anything to that...

I just the reports of Chris Paul playing well are true. The G situation is no bueno. Concerned about T depth too. It seems such a glaring weakness that I scratch my head wondering why we didn’t do more to address it. Good thing Howell can run a bit.

That would be nice for CP - or even S Charles - to step up, but I do feel like they did address the O-line. They signed Wylie & Gates and drafted Daniels & Stromberg - while letting T Turner, A Norwell, and a few others walk. Sure, they could have gone after bigger names like McGlinchey, Orlando Brown Jr, or Jawaan Taylor, but they did address it.
It's also not too late to add another O-lineman to the mix, depending on what they are seeing in Camp. There are still a couple decent players out there who remain unsigned.

I don't feel like they addressed it adequately. We'll see soon enough though.

Mauk or Torrence in the second round.

As "talent evaluators", we probably won't all agree on the specific personnel they brought in either through the draft or in free agency. But they did address the position group. Time will tell if it's markedly better than it was last year.

Agreed. They did put in the efforts to upgrade the line.
