Former Colts’ HC Frank Reich is being named the new head coach of the Carolina Panthers. Reich now returns to the franchise he quarterbacked in 1995.
Irsay is an idiot for letting him go.
Great move for Carolina.

I honestly truly think Irsay wanted to tank this year .. and it worked. Team lost their final 7, picking 4th overall with 4 top 10 QB prospects on the board.
Colts and Manders both missed the playoffs.
One is picking a franchise QB .. the other is probably going to go 7-10 next year.

Colts will continue to have an owner that meddles in football operations. Hopefully we won't have that problem anymore.
Also, this is hilarious:
@Schultz_Report
Sources: Jim Irsay’s No. 1 choice for HC remains Jeff Saturday, while others in the #Colts’ front office prefer different leading candidates. Saturday, I’m told, presented his staff choices during his 2nd interview on Wednesday. Irsay has not sat in on most interviews.

Irsay gunning for worst owner spot after Snyder is gone.

Yeah heard this. If they keep Saturday it might be the worst HC decision of all time, in any sport.
Second worst was hiring him in the first place.

Oh, I don't know. Hard to beat the Urban Meyer hire for Jax last year, isn't it?

Agreed. Bobby Petrino might be #2.
Punch I feel like if you're firing your coach midseason the season is a lost cause anyways. I can't remember the last time a midseason-entering HC won anything of note anyways. At least not in the NFL.

I know both of them were bad but I really didn't pay much attention to them because they weren't the skins but IMO it is hard to beat Zorn.

The 'Ol Ball Coach (Spurrier) didn't really acquit himself either. We've had some clunkers.
But we're hardly alone. The Eagles had Chip Kelly and Rich Kotite. The Cowboys had Chan Gaily and Dave Campo. The Giants had Joe Judge and Ben McAdoo. Even just within our division, you could find some pretty bad coaches.
By Urban Meyer seems like the most buffoonish to me, and Pederson's success the year after proves it.

Mahomes has an high ankle sprain I doubt he plays.
They're gonna inject enough painkillers into his ankle to make a horse numb.
I'd bet $100 he plays. He might not play well but he plays.
