Probably true.
i get your thinking, but until the sale goes through everything is moot.
Just like i said before its like going to open houses with your wife but then realizing halfway through the tour oh wait we are getting a divorce seems silly to buy a house.

Turner wasn't onboard with Wentz trade, can't say I blame him

Oof. Imagine not being onboard with the plan, and then getting fired. He probably feels scapegoated.
Scott isn't here anymore because it wasn't just his inability to get the qb going - he couldn't get the offense going either.

They kind of go hand and hand
That be like saying Scott not only couldn't the engine started but he couldn't make the car go forward either.

If that's true, then I wonder who Turner would have started as QB1.
Doesn't matter.
Turner never adjusted the game plan to compensate for the piss poor performance of the Oline. Obvious passing downs were disastrous for all 3 QBs because the line couldn't slow a 4 man rush.
If your line is shit, you need to be a run heavy team and get the play action going.
Turner called maybe 4 good games.

In fairness to Scott, he never had a good QB here and it's not easy to put up 20 plus points a week with a QB2.. He tried to do some creative motion plays butwhen your QB is so limited it makes it tough. At teh end of the day they can interview anyone they want but nothing matters until Howell proves hes legit or we get a QB1

Give Turner a decent QB, an O-line that can block for him, and the experience he gained as the OC here - and I think he could end up being a good OC. I don't think he was terrible, and he was not exactly dealt a great hand here. He definitely made what I thought were some dumb play calls at times, but as some experts have also indicated, he did scheme guys open a lot. It was a mixed bag, and ultimately I agree that he had to go, but he was new at it and could be successful somewhere else.

I think even when you take into account the lack of a quarterback and a shit o line the dude still constantly tried to fit a square peg into a round hole.
We collectively said it all year, don’t overthink it Scott - run the ball Scott. That 4th down where he ran Samuel into the teeth of the defense was the final nail in his coffin.

Ordinarily I'd agree - but Kyle Shanahan is 5-0 with the qb taken dead last in this year's draft.
Coaching plays a part. We all saw how he couldn't scheme to take advantage of a D's weaknesses - or use the run to setup play action. Good coaches adjust to the player's limitations. He couldn't do any of that. The writing was on the wall when 9 players complained how difficult his offense is.
