Per Keim, Heinicke told Rivera to start Howell instead. It's hard to not like Heinicke, despite his limitations. I definitely would not oppose to the idea of bringing Heinicke back only as a back-up QB next year.

no no no no no no!!!!

RR is a nice guy tto but we need winning football, fuck this nice guy shit

Honestly, Heinicke wouldn't even be in the NFL right now if not for this staff. Good for him/good for them, however you want to look at it. He showed something to them years ago, and then he took full advantage of his opportunity when it arose as a COVID emergency QB who inexplicably got to play meaningful snaps in the playoffs. Does he belong in the NFL in some capacity, sure. I think he has proven that. I am ok if he is here next year as a backup at the right price, but I am also ok if he seeks employment elsewhere. In no way should he be in the conversation with regard to competing for the starting QB position. I will not be surprised if that happens though, depending on the timeline of the sale of the team, which will have an impact on what moves are or are not made this offseason.

I TH has done a great job in his role as a backup QB. Not many would be able to do what he did over the last two years coming off the bench. I think his time here is up, but that will depend on Sam.

Ron is really involved anymore?
Did he quiet quit?

Dude seems like he is waiting to get fired.

Wilbon just said the same thing on TV. He said “For what Ron did with QB and the last game i’d Fire him”

He also said he thinks he’s a good coach but makes bad decisions.

Surely he sees the writing on the wall. His resume doesn't exactly scream (for the new owner(s) "we gotta keep this guy"!

That said, he doesn't seem like a quitter. He's just in over his head and is probably beginning to realize his many mistakes that led this team to be eliminated by week 17.

I like TH and Ron, but I never want to see TH play more than 2 games a year, and I think Ron's record as a GM and HC here would lead most people to think he's got to go.

He's done good in keeping the players out of the drama, but his handling of the o-line (and the LB position) is fireable. QB hasn't been answered either, but they have tried and the options haven't been great (well, I guess they could have hindsight drafted someone).

Hopefully howell ends up being a guy (I think it's more likely he's not by odds, but until he has a chance to show something, you never know).

Pricks who are losers get fired right away because nobody likes them or supports them but likable losers tend to stay around way too long because they have supporters and their bosses are sympathetic to their plight. RR is one of those deadly likable losers.

There is absolutely nothing about RR that makes me believe that he can turn things around and lead us to a championship. Therefore, I hope ownership doesn't make the mistake of keeping him around for two more miserable years.

Ron is not going anywhere, because I don't think Snyder cares about firing him.

My only interest in seeing Ron's lame duck season next year is to see how he does without any influence by Snyder.

This has been Ron's show since he got here.
