EB is what this team needs.

Shady McCoy basically destroyed EB. He said didn't do anything when it came to game planning, play design or strategy. All he did was talk to the running backs during meetings. I get that he was a past his prime player but the fact that he was passed over so many times for a head job really makes me wonder.

Lol when McCoy said negative things about EB, many other players immediately stood up for EB. This tells me that EB doesn't accept BS from any players and push players to play hard, which is exactly what we need.

I think I'll believe the overwhelming praise from many coaches and players, over one player who didn't like his approach and the fact that EB called him out for fumbling...

We're already calling him CB1?

Anyway, it's not as if they are locking him in at the slot, they're just giving him some reps there.

He'd better be. You don't draft a player in the 1st Round to be a backup.

He'd better be. You don't draft a player in the 1st Round to be a backup.

He can be CB3, and still be a starter. Tough to expect that he'll begin the season as the #1 CB. Not sure exactly how you determine that in week 1 anyway.

I get that and agree w/ you and Grid. Just taking a wait and see approach. Not saying he wasn't the man for the job. He's been w/ Reid now for several years. He's been around one of the best guys in the league as far as offense goes. It just seemed like the situation in KC was really strange. It's like they were pushing him out the door almost. And then him constantly getting passed over for head jobs.

Wait and see is the right approach. I'm with you there. The whole EB situation is/was strange, and something doesn't add up. I am hopeful that he was just wrongfully judged all those times he didn't get the HC job, and he is able to get this offense going, but it's equally possible that he won't. We just don't know. What I do know is, we weren't going anywhere with S Turner's offense, and EB has a year to prove that he is the man for the job. I have mediocre expectations for a lot of reasons.
