If you guys know me I am one of the most postive posters on this site but I have to admit I have really been down on our beloved skins lately. It seems everything this off season has been bad. Sure we picked up a good center and some special teams help but the negitivity surrounding our team is undeniable, examples...
-The Coles/Gardner situation
-Gibbs legend being called into question
-The loss of Pierce and Smoot
-The Draft
-LaVar bitching and moaning
-Sean Taylor the felon
Don't get me wrong I love our team and think we will have a better season this year, but man how much more do we have to take. This seems to be the worst off- season we have had in quite a while. Lift me up guys I need it! What do you think?

Coles/Gardner = We're getting rid of guys who dont wanna be here +
Gibbs being called into question = by noone of any importance +
The loss of Pierce and Smoot = guys who took front loaded contracts
over their "team" offering practically the same money +
The draft = In years to come will be proven a great one +
Sean Taylor the felon = the unconvicted...

I disagree completely. I feel that Casy "f-ing" Rabach is the savior of this off season. hahhaa

Continuity of the coaching staff; 99% particiaption in the OTAs; Rodgers, Holdman, Rabach, Patten (actually, I ilke more than these, but all these seem solid); Samuels restructure; return of Jansen; return of Daniels; return of Bowen; return (hopefully) of Lavar; addition of zone blocking schemes and shotgun; no more bitching and whining from Coles who caught a ton of passes, couldn't run, wouldn't get his toe fixed, etc; not in cap hell--didn't break the bank for palyers (I really liked Pierce, but the gints overpayed...); no more 50/50 breaking our hearts; Don Warren to the FO--reaching out to the oldtime skins; an offseason for the hardest working coach in the NFL (name me one who works harder than Gibbs) to get to know his team and to improve things--Rome wasn't built in a day.
We were so close to winning several games last year. We are not nearly as bad as the pundits think. I am confident that hard work and character will make the skins a better team next year--that's what Gibbs is about. I know it's a claiche, and I know we were 6-10, but I believe that if you out work your opponents, you will win. This is old news in sports and life. Gibbs didn't just "lose it"--he faced a serious struggle (which we are still in the midst of)--and he's approaching it like he always does, by working hard and doing the right things. It may not work, but my bet is that it will. And this isn't some blind faith in Gibbs. Look at most of the winners around. THat's how it's done. Sure, super-talent is important (and We've got some of that), but the rest is attitude and mindset. It takes time to go from losers to winners. Hang in there.

And thats the key, JW. Solid pick ups. Also look at these guys from winning teams...Rogers, Campbell - Auburn. Patten - New England. Even guys like Kevin Dyson have been in some big games. It's obvious atleast to me that were heading in the right direction. We could go 6-10 again this season (God forbid) and I would still have the same confidence in Gibbs and his decisions.

Thanks JWsleep that was really well put, continuity is a key and it can only help our team. Rome in deed was not bulit in a day.

No problem! I know it's tough, especially given the way the media covers the skins (and the fact that the things you mentioned are tough). But the worm will turn!!!
JW, I could not have put it better myself and with a red-zone game last, we were 10-6. Since beefing up the line and procuring 62 FB, TE's, etc. in the draft, that should improve!
