If we lose to SF, praying we find a way to win, but if we lose our season is over. Lions and Giants will get the last two spots. At that point if I see anyone other than Howell under center Ill consider a boycott until Ron is shitcanned. What on Earth do we gain from playing noodle arm or wentz in the final two games? We lose the ability to see what we have in Sam and build accordingly- hopefully without dipshit playing GM again - in the offseason.
I wouldn’t say it’s over because Seattle will most likely lose to KC and the Lions have a road game against Carolina so anything can happen.
We do need to win 2 of the next 3 tho

I heard it on his sirius show this morning. There are a couple guys on it - both in agreement- but I believe it was Florio who was going off about the sport being compromised.
Oh, okay. Appreciate it! I'll see if I can find it via the internet or archives via Sirius (if that exists).

This is true but Ron has filled the position with stopgaps since Haskins left - he is as much to blame here as Scott Turner.
To be fair to Ron, we know Dan continues to meddle with the QB position (see Wentz trade). So any decision at QB in my opinion is all Danny Boy's fault.
That being said, the Giants showed a blueprint of how to win a game with a limited passing game. In the 98-yard drive where they score in the first half, Jones dinked and dunked his way to the end zone. I don't understand how or why this is not our plan.
All we need is a QB to make short passes and prevent turnovers, while we run the hell out of the ball. Heinecke, Wentz, and Scott Turner can't get that through their thick heads.

I don't think Dan had much to do w/ Wentz. That was mostly Ron and some Mayhew. They presented it to Dan and Dan said go w/ it. Not that I would ever stick up for Dan but that is pretty much how it went.

I don’t listen to much DC radio but Kevin Sheehan has mentioned regularly that Wentz was a Dan move. The wat he talks his sources are off the record so who really knows.

- I'll try and clip it later today. But I'm pretty sure the infamous 3rd and 3 Samuel run was a plain an simple handoff from the ace... Watching live I had to rewind and rewatch to believe it...
- I don't think the team came out "unprepared". Despite coming out with only 3 points to show for it, we dominated the first quarter on both sides of the ball. In game adjustment and playcalling are the issue.
- Even with a somewhat underwhelming perf by the Dline, the D did its job, our secondary, including Bobby "bad angle" McCain, has been playing way better lately.
- We know we're limited with Heinicke... But why can't Turner call a game on our strengths ?! We get it Scott, you're smart and creative... But this roster right now is built to run old school football... Coach the offense you have, not the one you're fantasizing about!
- I'm not usually one to linger on refs making bad calls... But the final 2 calls were outrageous. You don't signal Terry to be in the backfield, you still make the most ticky tac call ever on a run play where the tackle not being covered had zero impact, and the following play you suddenly go "let em play, no holds barred, hell in a cage" rules ? These 2 calls are atrocious separately, but the total absence of consistency highlighted by the fact they were made on back to back plays makes it either criminally incompetent, or flat out dishonest.

Is there one team other than Us that Taylor would start for? We are so limited at that position! even his completed passes are usually up for grabs.. factor in the mindless play calling ..and How bad is Wentz that the other players PREFER Taylor ? So many questions with this team ..

Same team here that we saw the last couple months. They have to walk a tight rope (every game comes down to the last play) and this time it didn't work out. Refs didn't help, but neither did the offense. D held them to 13. If you can't break 20, you're going to lose some games.
Hoping we see better next week. I do agree that with 2 weeks to prep, this really wasn't a good showing.

This lack of offensive production can be fixed real quick, but it won’t happen. Turner needs to quit fucking around passing and stick to pounding the ball with BRob, Gibson and Williams (Samuel is no secret anymore) and I don’t care what anyone says, start Howell. I guarantee this offense would score lots of points. Who cares if he’s a rookie, he’s had pre-season and 14 games to learn the offense. Wentz should be inactive and TH the backup.

My bad, not ace, shotgun, but plain and simple handoff to a WR in the backfield. I included the previous 2 and 3 flea flicker. That sequence is a case study of awful play call.
