Who realistically could we have gotten though?
It was Wentz or Mayfield or Trubisky for us.
Kinda fortunate Stafford and Wilson didnt want to come here.
------------
Until we solve the QB puzzle, we will forever be a .500 ish at best team.
----
I think Carr could be a realistic option and I think hed allow us to run a full playbook. Hes not a top 10 QB but hes "functional"
Him or Goff (if Lions draft a guy) would be clear upgrades over what we have.

Oh! I almost forgot.... Riverboat Ron decided to punt when we were on the Giants' 34.
He obviously felt that Slye couldn't make it and had no confidence in the offense. I can't kill Ron for that. He was hoping to pin them inside the 10 and play defense.

Had Mike Florio questioning whether or not this guy is the Tim Donaghy of the NFL. Says there will be a 30/30 on the betting and fixing in the nfl one day. These guys don’t make enough money to look away from a fat paycheck from some wise guy.
That’s probably the best shot I’ve seen of the missed PI. Wtf, the guy literally on his back

Slye has a perfect last name. He is shifty, he has made some big kicks, but I still don't trust him. Him kicking a FG is almost as nerve wracking as Heinicke throwing the ball more than 10 yards.

Even before the ball got anywhere near Samuel he was grabbing him. That was illegal contact before it was even pass interference. He commited 2 penalties. WE GOT FUCKED.

Sure were, but doesn't alter the fact that it is 2022 and average NFL offences score 30 on teams like the Giants so they are not dependent on officials calling the game correctly (or honestly) at the end. We are reliant on favourable refereeing decisions to win, and you know that is no way to win

Yeah, we lost by just about every controllable and non-controllable way possible. Defense had some hiccups, but 13 points is 13 points, so they did their jobs.
But everything else we did, and the referees, were complete failures.

I dont think we need to say more....
JP Finlay on Twitter
Brian Robinson got 4 carries in the second half of that game. Antonio Gibson had 1 second half carry.

I think they've been pretty good this year on 3rd down conversions, but that brought up horrible memories of years past never being able to get off of the field. Just no respect for our team, and they were right, it worked easily.
Hats of to Daboll. Looking at the situation, up 7-3 headed into two minute drill and getting the ball back to start the third. The safe play is punt knowing you are likely keeping the lead. The Giants have played pretty conservatively all season. You were going to have to beat them they weren't going to beat themselves. The way I see it a high risk move like 4th and 9 at the 35 couldn't have been that risky, they saw something they knew they could exploit.
