Meanwhile in Denver:
@CorbinSmithNFL
Carson Wentz hasn't played for over a month and he still has THREE more touchdown passes than Wilson. Matt Ryan was benched for a few weeks after a poor start and has THREE more. Andy Dalton has twice as many.
@AdamSchefter
Broncos announced they have waived RB Melvin Gordon III.
The belly aching here when we didn't get RW. Well luckily SEA didn't want to trade within the conference.

At this point, the only QB that seems to be able to run an efficient offense, without a lot of elite weapons is Mahomes. I don't think there's another QB in the league that can go to a team and completely carry the offense.
I never saw the attraction of Denver as a destination for Wilson or Rodgers. Their coaching staff is suspect as well; let's not forget this is the guy that opted to kick a ridiculously long FG as opposed to let his prized QB to win the game.

I haven't bought into the Giants all year. I think we can sweep them.
I think you can to. My thoughts were 7-8 wins being a really good year for us. The injuries are just too massive to over come. Lost two more to MCL's yesterday. Not joking I have no idea who our WR's are? We have lost 4 starting DB's and our starting Safety. All teams have injuries but we were light on talent at the start and now it's just impossible. Cowboy game will be a massacre.

As happy as I am that we won, I am still pretty concerned that TH's ceiling seems to be pretty low. Our O put up only 16 points on a dreadful defense and an offense that couldn't move the ball. That's not good at all. I know it was a short week on the road after an emotional win, but as much as it was fun to see the D dominate, we are going to need a passing game at some point if we're going to do anything other than limp to a middling record and middling draft pick.
Wentz wasn't great for us, but he averaged 297 yards per game -- even factoring in a 99-yard clunker against the Bears that he played with a broken finger. He had 2 TD/game as well. But he also averaged more than a pick per game and way, way too many sacks, although I'd wonder whether it would be the same with our running game clicking as it is now.
I get riding the hot hand. But TH is averaging just 206 yds/game, 1 TD/game, nearly 1 Int/game. He's so easy to root for, and the team unquestionably rallies around him -- and maybe that's enough. But he's also got some serious flaws/limits that will be exposed against better teams.
I guess RR's view is that he's the starter for now -- unless and until he's not. And maybe that's the best way to approach it. I'd love to see someone take better advantage of our WRs, even as we pound the rock.

Play him until we lose again, then re-evaluate as needed.

Playing with house money as far as I am concerned. We know neither Wentz nor TH are the answer but we are winning so don't fix what isn't broken

Yep -- I think that's about the best we can do. I would like to see us build enough of a lead for the team to put in Howell at least for a series or two at some point. Very curious about what he can do.

Not all of us. But if you only drink vintage wines you know.

I think the Texans were the only likely candidate for that so not much chance to see Howell the rest of the season, of course it would be nice to beat Dallas or the Giants soundly enough for him to get a look, but I doubt it happens

Talent-wise he can do all of the same things as Heinicke but better. But since he's nowhere close to playing, doesn't look like he will know the offense well enough and understand NFL defenses well enough to play yet.
But I'm definitely interested in seeing him in live action. Not above winning though. So we wait to see how long this ride can last.
