Snyder naming the team the Commanders was his last big, huge, fuck you to all the fans. Picks a name most people don't like, then bounces. I hate that fucker.
No worries when he leaves the name goes with him.

I heard that interview.
No chance a new owner goes through another re-branding.
Oh, I think it is a certainty. No way a new owner is going to stick with a name picked by the most unpopular owner in NFL history. Additionally, the name itself is extremely unpopular. A new owner will jump at the chance to put his stamp on the team while simultaneously ingratiating himself with the fans. It's a lock that the name Commanders survives only as long as Snyder owns the team.

Why would anyone want Elon Musk as an owner?
Why would you want to replace a publicly relatively quiet piece of shit with no clue about football that canīt leave his hands off daily business with a publicly loud mouthed piece of shit with no clue about football that canīt leave his hands off daily business?

I think "lock" is quite the overstatement.
But I do think ruling out a renaming because it's unheard of to have a team be renamed twice in the span of a few years is disregarding the specificity of this situation.
Whoever buys this team, will, to a certain extent, buy it because of the fame and spotlight that goes with it, so I don't think it's absurd to anticipate that this person would be sensitive to the ego boost of getting to pick the name of one of 32 NFL Teams, that'll most likely stick for many decades/centuries...
And don't tell me it's a lock the NFL wouldn't approve another name change, someone who can buy a 6 billions dollars franchise has the means to pleads his case, and this name having been picked by the most despised owner in the league, it wouldn't be such a difficult case to plead.
If someone bought the Cowboys or the Patriots today, they would have zero interest and zero point in changing the name, but Commanders isn't a brand anybody is attached too yet, so the name going away isn't absurd at all IMO.
That's an awful lot of way too early speculation though. Let's see who buys this team first.

Seat Geek is the main sponsor. My question to Seat Geek is who is buying tickets? Fed Ex Field ( I think) has the lowest attendance in the NFL. People are still not buying tickets. The rebrand may be good for the bringing in some funds but it hasn't filled the stadium. It hasn't made people buy tickets. It hasn't made the fanbase come out to the games.
According to ESPN you are correct last in NFL. I don't care if you are a minor investor, small business owner or a billionaire, I you see a 30% increase in sponsorship revenue I think that is significant. Eventually they do have to put butts in the stands but if this rebranding is as successful as those in the business community are viewing it then there is somethings in the works.
I can envision a stadium at National Harbor with a renaming of MGM as MGM Commander's Casino, etc. This is kind of the concept the business people within Commanders are thinking. Turning it to an experience and not just a team to go see on a Sunday afternoon.
Back to ticket sales, what percentage of decline in tickets is due you think is because of the product on the field? Poor stadium experience? Owner? Off the field fiascos?
For me:
Product on the field? 10%
Poor stadium experience? 40%
Owner? 40%
Off field stuff? 10%
I think

Take Musk name and replace it with just about ANY billionaire and it would ring true
how does one become a billionaire WITHOUT a MASSIVE EGO and hands on everything.. Im not anti any specific person but there are some legit concerns with Bezos
my personal hope is Byron Allen is the owner ..

You guys are getting your panties in bunches.
Elon and Bezos are not micromanagers. Nor is Byron Allen or Todd Boehly. Dan Snyder was, he meddled because he was a fan above all.
Who owns the team next isn't nearly as impactful as the fact that they're not Dan Snyder. Anybody but Dan, who it is almost doesn't matter, it will be miles better by default.

When I go to Glitties after Snyder sells the team I hope bunches of panties are thrown in my face.
It's crazy that if it happens it will literally be a monumental day in our lives. Like an actual milestone you remember forever.
