Like I said, they have had the lead or were tied at halftime in 8 of their last 11 games. In RR's first year, I remember starting slow being a problem, but it doesn't seem to be a recent problem.

Seems like people are just trying to find things to complain about.

Ok, I'd like to point out that outside of week 1 in 2020 and this year at no other point has Ron Riveras Washington team taken the field with a winning record

That's not all that surprising considering their record since RR became the head coach is 15-20. You're not going to take the field too often with a winning record - if you don't have a winning record...

Anyway, we were talking about Sheehan popping off about the team continually falling behind early in games, and I was pointing out that while it was a problem in 2020 into 2021, it hasn't been a recent issue... Either way, they still haven't figured out how to win more than they lose - so there are still problems obviously.

6 out of 36 is a lot if you ask me. Putting yourself in the hole like that all but guarantees those games are losses. On average the team ahead at half time wins 75% of the time. Being down double digits makes it almost insurmountable.

The 3 and outs on offense and unable to defend the end zone were the reasons why Washington fell behind early.....you can blame Scott Turner since he was calling too many pass plays without offensive balance in the first half.

Yeah I think its a convenient one liner radio talking heads say

9 games we were behind after 1Q last year out of 17. What you would expect given our record.

2 things stood out from last year

Cowboys were up 18-0 and 21-0 after 1Q ,... that stings
Eagles .. we were up 10-0 after 1Q in both games .. and lost

The defense sucks donkey balls under JDR I'm complaining about that. Didn't have to look too hard to find that one

LOL. They took a step back last year, but it's still early this year.

Chief we just played thee single worst first quarter any team has ever played last week.

That being said i could care less when we score our points as long as we score more than the other team after four quarters and that is an ongoing problem with Ron.

I agree that wasn't good. I was speaking in terms of the last 10-11 games though, not one or two quarters.

Did RR give a reason for going for 2 that second time when it was totally unneccessary?

I havent heard anything, havent heard any reporters ask about it

“It’s in the math. It’s in the math. You guys should appreciate the analytics of it. Okay,” Rivera said with a smile.

da fuq? no one pressed him on this? running on a 2 pt conversion is 61.7% successful .. so isnt running for 2 always "in the math"?

I have to assume someone followed up and didnt let him off the hook w a bs none answer.
