Looking at the initial reactions of the Bradberry to the Eagles signing, I'm convinced that some of ya'll want the old days of Vinny/Dan back.
...but they won't admit it. 😃
Some people definitely miss those days of being champs of the offseason despite it getting us nowhere

I'm not sure the secondary is a real need. I look at Bradberry as more of a luxury signing if they were to do such a thing. LB remains the priority and Ron has said as much. As MTK said too, players that are still available are in no hurry to sign at this point. Collins' salary comes off the books next month. I still think we'll add a Veteran LB and resign McL before the season.
Agree. A good coach can eliminate the impact of almost any quality defensive player by scheming their offense appropriately. I'd prefer get a quality MLB for defense and then passing offense, passing offense, passing offense.

Agreed. That's not our strongest squad, but I definitely do not see DB as a need.
They under achieved last year, and hopefully both players and coaching know they got some work to do. But talent is not the issue here.

I may be in the minority here and I certainly don't disagree that LB is a much greater need than CB, but I think CB remains a need. Fuller had a solid season, but St. Juste didn't (and got multiple concussions) and neither did Jackson (although I recall questions about whether we were using him to take best advantage of his skillset). I realize that the latter two could bounce back in 2022, but we'll need them to and there are obviously no guarantees.
Bradberry has the second most pass breakups in the league during the last 6 years. The CB with the most will now start opposite him -- Darius Slay. I don't like that at all.
No one is clamoring for clownville again.. yall just sound like sour grapes b/c we DIDNT end up getting him. Stats speak for themselves and he would have made the 2ndary better, instead he went to the sheagles. Not good.

I wouldn't have been against the idea of bringing Bradberry in. Sure, he would likely make the secondary better. However, either he didn't want to be here, or they didn't want to pay him what he wanted, knowing they still want to upgrade the LB position and sign Terry. Now, if the sit on their hands until the season starts and do nothing else - then I'll have a problem, but I doubt that happens. Still more than enough time to upgrade the roster.

he would have been an upgrade... would the $10m be better spent on a new terry contract? probably.

I didn't expect him to get 10M. Perfectly fine not signing him. It just sucks that he went to the Eagles. They just got better.

That's how you circle the wagons.
Nice work!
