They get our 2nd rounder too. So essentially we move down in the 2nd round.
Barf move.
this why you don't go around publicly telling everyone you need a QB. You have no negation power.
There is always one more screw you in all our trades, like the 2nd rounder in the RG3 trade.

I'm surprise to be finding stuff like this:
@CommandersNFL_
Carson Wentz dropped 28 total touchdowns last year on two bad ankles, in a run-heavy offense, while throwing to mostly trash. I don’t care what the Colts do. All they do is trade picks and never win.

Now we have no 3rd or 5th round pick.
I don't see us drafting a QB this year now.
I hate this move.

I think it's their GM Chris Ballard that gave up him moreso than Reich, Reich has been pretty supportive of him at least publicly.
Reich said this at the combine
“I believe in him,” Reich said last week during the NFL combine. “I stuck my neck out for him. I stuck my neck out for him last year. I was a big part of that decision to get him here, and so I believe he’s going to continue to have a lot of success at quarterback -- that might be here, it might not be here. That decision has yet to be determined, but I still believe in the person, and I still believe in the player.”
If Reich really wanted him he'd probably be there. Also the Eagles totally gave up on him too. They choose Hurts over him...lol. What does that say?

I don't think this is terrible. This lets you wait until the draft and see if a QB is available at #11, you can trade down (my ideal situation), or take BPA.
I'd rather watch Wentz than Heinecke.

No doubt talent wise he's a big upgrade over Heinicke. If he gets his head on straight he could be dangerous. Big if though.
Exactly. He the best of what WC could reasonably expect to get. WC has to make due with stop gap QBs like Wentz until they hit on a draft pick. No top flight free agent QBs are coming to a garbage dump of an organization like Washington.

I hate it cause they just gave up two 3rd round picks for a injury prone BUM that was going to get cut. Could be a 2nd rounder if this BUM plays 70% of the snaps.
This is PISS POOR GM work at it's finest. This is why you hire a legit GM who knows the value of players. Wentz has ZERO value and you just gave them two high draft picks.
We have a legit GM in Martin Mayhew. We have a solid completely filled out front office for the first time in forever.
click on our org chart below ... weve never had that.

Im not stoked for Wentz either ... but its 2 3rds and we can get out after this year for 12M dead cap.
Aside from drafting Jamin Davis (who its too early to call definitively) .. Ive liked the moves weve made for the most part.

Eagles gave up on Wentz and they want to give up on Hurts. I mean they stole a 1st rounder from the Colts, but I don't think they had consensus on their QB (see Pederson getting fired).

Interesting take from JP:
@JPFinlayNBCS
Wentz threw for 3500 yards on 63 percent passing last year, 27 TDs vs just 7 INTs. Stats look good. But my biggest concern is Indy just traded for him, and now they trade him without a clear upgrade. Something doesnt add up
Throw in the cost too. They were a quarter away from making the playoffs with him and it only took two third round picks?
Not excited by the move. Obviously a talent upgrade. His paycheck is questionable but not extreme. IDK very indifferent overall just a basic whelmed.
