The experts say none of them are worthy of going in the first round. But at least one of them will be a 1st round pick. But how much of an upgrade are either of these young quarterbacks are an upgrade over Taylor Heinicke ?

80 year old Joe Namath would be an improvement over Heinicke. You need more than moxie.
Willis is the only guy I'd target at 11 or higher.

But Pickett is projected as the most pro ready.....

As a UNC Tarheel fan, I watched a lot of Howell...and I would take him over signing Trubisky. They made Sam run an odd offense where they ran him like he was Michael Vick at times and he's not that, but he is mobile and strong...and he's got a big arm to stretch the field. I really think he will make a good pro QB. I think Pickett has the same potential too, he caught my eye 2 years ago while watching him play against the Tarheels, you could tell he was better than most. Don't know much about Corall...but I did hear he has dealt with depression and alcohol, so this may not be the franchise for him.

Take my opinion with grain of salt since I don't watch college games and I watched youtube highlights. But I really like Howell - he has big arm and can move around well.
I saw one mock where we traded down in the draft and then drafted Howell in late 1st round - I would love this move.

I think Willis has the higher ceiling with his overall athleticism, Pickett probably has a higher floor.

You're drafting for need and you need a QB.
Don't get mixed up in all this "How much better" BS.
Draft the best QB available no matter what till you get it right.
QB value is higher than any other position by far.
give me anyone except for that dude with baby hands.

Experts? There is anything but consensus among experts, on Pickett particularly some say he is a 1st round pick. Not high first round picks granted, but this is rather a large generalisation none the less. QB is a high value position and like any resource they are worth whatever someone is willing to give up for them. 3 or 4 teams will deem them worthy

I'm leaning this way myself, and I am a Sam Howell fan...to me the deciding factor would be on whatever tests they do to determine their "QB smarts"...and who knows if any of OUR guys even know how to test for that. But I'm definitely in the camp that would rather just draft one of these guys and roll with him vs any of the free agent/trade QBs outside of AR, RW, & DW.
