I think it is interesting to have the Iggles owner talk about regretting not drafting Wilson, given that they were apparently in the mix to get Wilson via a trade. This doesn't sound like a vote of confidence for Hurts.

I'm mentioning this given my previous comment that they're making plans if Hurts doesn't work out.
Hurts is no better than Heinicke in my opinion. He runs more - that's about it.
Worse completion %, and about the same QB Rating.
Less INTs, but that's more than likely due to the fact that he runs way more often than Heinicke - an average of almost 11 rushes per game for Hurts compared to just over 4 for Heinicke.
Less passing TDs in more games for Hurts.
Maybe he'll start balling for them this year, but my guess is they are setting themselves up for drafting a QB next year.

Eagles stacking up mad draft picks. Wasn't like they dominated last year tho, kind of weird to not want to add 3 1st rounders.
They avoid paying 3 1st round contracts and give themselves extra options next draft, as Ruhskins suggests; get a QB if they need one in a draft with better options than this one.

Interesting take

We know run first offenses are way less efficient than pass offenses but when bad weather adds to randomness of the game there is a bias that favors inefficiency. Building defense is far to random from year to year than building offenses which is why defensive production can vary so much year to year despite same team and players. (One of my pet peeves about all the investment we have had first round on defense with little return in games won).
The article made me think twice about my bias against domed stadiums and the potential new stadium deal for Commanders, if it ever happens.

Diggs gets a 4/104M deal to stay In Buffalo for a while.
Terry will probably see similar

4 yrs/104M/70M guar ... sounds about right for Terry.
Diggs has been more productive but he hasnt had the Qbs and offense Terry has.
This is the last year of affordable Terry.

I'd say Diggs is a pretty fair comparison to Terry. Better numbers with better cast.
But I'd say they are about equal.
Pay Terry his money.

Pay Terry his money. This will be my common theme until he is re-signed. Especially that money. Less than 25M is going to be a win at this point. It ain't gonna get any cheaper.

People need to take a deep breath on Terry McLaurin. The timetable for such deals is almost always spring/summer. Said this all along. Had to get QB first. Never expected anything to get done before late spring at the earliest. He's wanted here. Jon Allen extension? July 27.
