@RapSheet
The #Packers and MVP QB Aaron Rodgers have agreed to terms on a 4-year, $200M deal that makes him the highest paid player in NFL history, sources say. He gets a whopping $153M guaranteed and his cap number goes down. A monstrous commitment by GB for years to come.
JHC, ..........if they don't win at least two super bowls it's a shitty deal!

They gotta be shopping Jordan Love then. Makes no sense to have a young 1st round QB riding the bench.
I wouldn't think so. He's been in their system for two years now, and on a rookie contract for another 2-3 years. Unless they just have no faith in him, there's really no good reason to start over with AR's backup.
Sucks for him though.

The NFL Salary cap increased by $25.6m for 2022.
This is exceptionally good news for teams that already had good cap space, like the Washington

They are creating cap room out of smokes and mirrors. I think it is easier for them to put him on the trade block now given the QB demand and the weak draft class, and get more weapons for Rodgers through the draft, as opposed to free agency.

What has he done though. Is there a real demand for Jordan Love at this point?

I don't know if he has done much, but if I'm GB I'm putting him on the trade block. But if there's a demand for Trubisky, Mariota, Teddy B., etc, etc., I'm sure there's a demand for Jordan Love.

FWIW I saw Love warming up at the GB/WFT game and that dude can spin it.. He was noticeably better than Allen and Heineke

That's the thing. He had all offseason with first team reps and most of the second half of the season when Rodgers had to wimp out because of the boo boo on his pinky toe. He hasn't shown an NFL ability in any of his games so why would a team trade for him. At this point you won't get your draft capital back so if you have faith in him as a back up keep him.

And Martin’s deal. D-Law said no and Cooper maybe cut.
They are managing to put the tag on their TE, that’s smart to keep him.
