Seriously how many years are we going to ignore the most important position on the team?
Wouldn't say it's been ignored exactly, we've drafted RG3, Cousins, Haskins, and they pursued Stafford last year... just have to keep swinging until something hits.

One good thing is Ron wanted Joe Burrow (JP Finlay) and they wanted Stafford
Both just played in the SB.

Ignored was a bad choice of words. Last year they tried. You are right. Plenty of years though we roll with bologna. And DS calling the shots when it comes to quarterback has been disastrous. The Cousins debacle was disastrous too.
Now that Ron is in charge of such decisions Im expecting better.

Fixed it for you. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks Dan Snyder is done with picking the QB himself. He will never change.

There is zero chance he would over rule RR and this group when it comes to who plays quarterback.
Don’t get me wrong, he will never change. He will always be a squirmy douche, but even he knows better than to play that game again.

I think we thought that with other coaches, too...
::Mike Shanahan enters the chat::
I know I'm probably wrong about that, but still. I'm pretty sure all along the way we all had the "he's changed, and his meddling ways are over" attitude almost every time a new coach or gm has come here.
I hope it's different with rr....but it really is very much like the cycle of abuse.

Snyder did that on day one with the Haskins ordeal.
RR knew DH was not prepared to play but had to roll with him to hopefully validates Snyder pick.
There’s zero chance Snyder isn’t picking his qb this draft.

I think this is different ,RR and the new management team of the Commanders won't put up with that. Whatever the call on a QB is it's RR call.

From 2014-2021 the #49ers posted a 49-80 record.
They were 31-14 with Jimmy Garoppolo as the starting quarterback.

This argument is very reminiscent of the Alex Smith arguments, even though they are very different QBs. The stats are ok, but the record is better than you think it would be, however we all see what we see when watching them...and it's unimpressive with both. I would say the record is due more to coaching staffs in place than the QBs in both of these cases...they were able to scheme around the QBs weaknesses and strengths and win games, but when it comes to the playoffs and a super bowl...you need your QB to shine and neither of those can/could do that.
