We'll see mredskins 02-25-2022, 12:08 PM That's unfair to say because Willis hasn't even hit his prime yet lol RG3 prime was his senior year at baylor and every nfl game season one before the ravens game. I guess i was trying to say there were alot more believers in RG3 coming out of college then willis. Also who do you know Willis hasn't hit his prime. Did you you check his prime meter? lol MTK 02-25-2022, 12:11 PM Willis hasn't taken a snap in the pros yet, pump the brakes yo. If he's there at 11 I'm fine with taking him, or even moving up a few spots. BaltimoreSkins 02-25-2022, 12:41 PM https://www.nbcsports.com/washington/commanders/draft-prospects-trade-options-washington-commanders-qb One thing is for sure, one of these guys will be our quarterback. Not sure how much scouting input into those but not a good sign if you haven't taken an NFL snap and ranked below Heinicke. Strong as a mid round is intriguing but sounds like we will need a vet stop gap in there. punch it in 02-25-2022, 01:24 PM Not sure how much scouting input into those but not a good sign if you haven't taken an NFL snap and ranked below Heinicke. Strong as a mid round is intriguing but sounds like we will need a vet stop gap in there. Obviously there is a wait and see element that is impossible to know now. I agree, if we could get Strong in say the third round and keep TH to start for another year id be fine with that. I also think Willis has a better arm, mechanics than RG-3 did. RG-3 was basically a world class sprinter playing quarterback. Willis is probably going to be a better quarterback. Will he be a franchise guy? Who the hell knows. It is crazy to say RG-3 was better than someone who never took a snap will be though. Unless you got a crystal ball. punch it in 02-25-2022, 01:26 PM RG3 prime was his senior year at baylor and every nfl game season one before the ravens game. I think if he played for Baylor in a power 5 conference the hype would be more RG-3’ish. skinsfan69 02-25-2022, 02:16 PM The knock on Willis is he is a one read and run type of QB. Sure he can make the wow plays but in the NFL we all know QB's either make or break themselves on 3rd down. Can he be coached up to go through his reads? Can he set protections? He'll have to master this stuff because at Liberty it is clear he didn't have to. He could just out athlete everyone. The game I watched against Ole Miss he and their team were a bit overwhelmed. IDK.. about Willis. I think a lot of us see RG3 all over again, although this kid seems a lot more humble and coachable. But this is the kind of guy that might get the fans excited again. Boom or bust pick for sure. I tend to think he won't make it if he is drafted here. A team like Pittsburgh where it is a stable organization would give him a better shot. skinsfaninok 02-25-2022, 02:16 PM Odds shark has us getting Watson HMMMM punch it in 02-25-2022, 02:30 PM The knock on Willis is he is a one read and run type of QB. He isn’t the best decision maker, but he has an amazing arm and skill set. I personally think that the poor decision making is more of him knowing he is the best player on the field (at Liberty) and probably getting a little cocky thinking he can do anything he wants. To your point I believe he is high character, humble, coachable, and will absolutely understand he is in the NFL and cant just beat people based on his skill set alone. punch it in 02-25-2022, 02:32 PM Odds shark has us getting Watson HMMMM Wonder what we would have to give up? Im fine with Chase, our first this year (who would be a quarterback anyway) and next years first. If somehow we could send them Sweat instead id be giddy. |
