The rumor is white hot - good thing I didn't hold my breath.

Come on Meks you're better than that.

It's tough to evaluate Turner's job when he had to play multiple QBs within two years, so I am not sure how to feel about this.

Al Galdi had an interesting take about tha (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/episode-270-commanders-are-extending-scott-turner-commanders/id1553345193?i=1000553926957)t: maybe the point is to say to Carson Wentz "this is the coach you're gonna work with, and he's here to stay, so play along and everything will be fine".
Don't know if there's any truth to that, but the timing has to make you wonder.

I can't hear but I think I understand the point of that part based on what you typed. In some games, I can see Turner called right plays but QB didn't read it correctly or whatever. And in a few other games, Turner called bad plays. I just hope the extension for Turner is not for multiple years.

Signing a new contract wont stop them from firing him if they think he is the problem, obviously they dont right now but it is not like there is a coaches salary cap to manage

3years, through 2024. (https://nfltraderumors.co/commanders-signing-oc-scott-turner-to-three-year-extension/)

True. But if they do have some concerns/questions about Wentz' coachability, then it sure won't hurt to reenforce your OC's position a bit.
