Just read this .. I apologize if this has already been posted ... but I found it interesting. And I'd be good with it.

Russell Wilson hasn’t officially demanded a trade from the Seattle Seahawks, but that won’t stop rumors from swirling.

On a recent episode of “The Kevin Sheehan Show,” Sheehan revealed one team that Wilson wouldn’t be against playing for. That team happens to be the Washington Commanders.

“I did talk to a few people in Vegas,” Sheehan said, via Audacy. “And the only thing that I will tell you is something that I feel confident in, based on the sources, and that is that Russell Wilson is not against being traded to Washington.”

Wilson was seen hanging out with Commanders defensive lineman Jonathan Allen at the Pro Bowl this past weekend. They took a picture together that eventually made its way over to social media.

Last week, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport had an update on Wilson’s future with the Seahawks. He said a trade shouldn’t be ruled out at this time.

“Russ wants to know his options. I’m not saying he’s definitely going to go, but he wants to look around and see,” Rapoport said. “If you’re Seattle, it’s the same problem they’ve had the last few years. Even if they get a great offer, who is actually going to be their quarterback and how quickly can they rebuild? Because Pete Carroll is going to be 71, and he doesn’t want it to be a full-year rebuild. I wouldn’t rule out a trade, but it has to be a no-brainer and they have to know the answer to the next question as well.”

Rapoport added that Wilson’s no-trade clause gives him a lot of leverage in this situation.

Washington hasn’t really been mentioned as a landing spot for Wilson in the past, but it’s no secret the Commanders need help at the quarterback position.

Do you think Wilson will be in the nation’s capital next season?

To add to this, KC was in his mid twenties when he ass raped Bruce Allen.
Wilson is on the wrong side of 30. No player his age wants to be on a one and done deal.

Changing my post because I misread the quote. Kirk didn't do anything to Bruce, he just took advantage of a terrible front office executive.

I don't get this "Cousins is the victim" narrative. He has negotiated his way for a lot of money, without showing results that justify the money (especially in Minnesota).

Don't get me wrong, good for him and I know QBs are always overpaid, but let's stop acting like he was some sort of victim here or in Minnesota.

I think you've misread that, he's not saying Cousins was a victim, just the opposite.

I did misread that, apologies. In the whole Kirk fiasco, I also don't blame Kirk because Bruce was a terrible front office executive. Kirk just took advantage of Bruce, it was a calculated risk, but he came out of it with a lot of guaranteed money.

And you're right, Wilson doesn't have the time to try to play the franchise tag game. And as I said, he has more leverage and influence than most QBs.

I'd love to have Wilson here. As always depends on the price (picks and contract).

Minor advantage - if we set up a playbook to leverage Wilson's traits, it will fit with keeping TH as #2; both scramblers able to extend plays, good runners etc. Obviously there's a difference in arm strength...

Very minor disadvantage - if we got him, like as not we won't be drafting a QB this year (probably wouldn't have enough picks left anyway). Be dumb to bring him here then recreate the GB scenario. I'd draft one next year though, if only to replace TH.

Replace the black accents with gold accents and I'm good. Still think there's improvement outside of that but that would appease me.

On the other hand, the concept of Russel Wilson in ANY Commanders uni is good by me!

So, would having Russell Wilson make the Commanders a winning team? How many more wins is he good for? Would he make us a Super Bowl contender? I'd like to hear your thoughts on this topic.

Winning team: ✅

How many more wins: 5+

Super Bowl contender: ✅

On paper the schedule is a bit easier next season. I am optimistic that the defense will not be bad again. The offense and defense both actually looked pretty good in spots, despite all the injuries and COVID absences on both sides of the ball. With Russell Wilson this is at least a 12 win team if they stay relatively healthy.

At least 12? That's bold. I think we'd for sure be a playoff team, not sure about 12 wins. 10-11 I'd feel confident in.
