NFL is allowing alternate helmets again next year so a black one could definitely be in play

Washington’s NFL team announced Tuesday it will unveil its new name on Feb. 2 and that it will not be the Wolves or RedWolves.

Commanders, Admirals, Armada, Brigade, Sentinels, Defenders, Red Hogs, Presidents and the status quo “Washington Football Team” were among the other finalists.

If this article is correct, looks like it will be one of the options from the 2nd paragraph.

Of the names remaining on this list, Admirals is the only one that I think is decent. The others just don't do it for me, although it would be a little weird considering that we had a General Washington but not an Admiral Washington. Maybe the new stadium will be in Annapolis. Generals or Commanders would appear to be more historically accurate. If that matters at all.
