Maybe practically true but not legally correct. i.e. some trademarks (depending on the legal locality they are established) are renewable, they can lapse through lack of use etc. No trademark exists in perpetuity without the owners active involvement, but in this case, it's likely that any dispute we were headed for and avoided, is with a name that's in current trademarked use.



Maybe we could have gone back and found a lapsed one? Ye Olde Warthoges? Ye Scarlet Werwulf?The Scarlet Werewolves is my new favorite!!

I didn't care about transparency or not, I just wanted a cool name, no matter how it happened.

Commanders is fine. I don't hate it. It's just a blah name.

It's no Waterbucks.

In a vacuum you could probably say that most names are blah and boring. We're just used to them. In time we'll get used to Commanders too.

Werwulf is actually the old English name for wolf, and probably where the Werewolf legend comes from.

But yeah, being the Werewolves would be cool, but night games could get messy...

Anyone else think that because some of these names have been circulating so widely now, and still a month away from the grand reveal, that they're all red herrings?
