Not many people can claim to have the impact of growing the league in the way that he has.

RIP.

Can't tell the story of the NFL without a huge chunk being dedicated to Madden that's for sure.

The NFL owes him a great debt for making he game appealing to everyone and age no matter what their knowledge of the game was.

He loved RFK, it was one of his favorite venues to broadcast from.

I just remember as a kid his enthusiasm for the game made my enthusiasm for the game grow. Also how he explained the game and strategy in layman terms brought everyone more enjoyment.

The classic Madden telestrator…you had to be there to enjoy it. Boom!

Yes indeed!

Still owns the highest winning percentage for a head NFL coach, and never had a losing season.

NFL Icon.

Somehow I never knew that stat about his coaching career until last night, I'm surprised how long it took to get him in the HOF. True icon of the game.

Loved him and Summeral.

He was the voice of the NFL as a young fan growing up.

Madden loved coming to RFK. He always mentioned how much he loved our stadium and how much of a home field advantage it was. You knew it was a big game when he and Summeral did our games - which was quite often.
