AnonEmouse 01-05-2022, 06:14 AM Combo between 6 and 12. Trash this micro transaction absolute trash heap it's become.
I'm with you on that, but EA have never listened to the fans and its a cash cow as it stands, so they have no impetus for change. They know all about the criticisms, but while they hold the NFL license, they have the power.
If I was Madden I'd have had my naming rights rescinded years ago, but I doubt he was that bothered, especially once he retired.

When a shoddy half assed product still manages to rake in big time $$ each year, why bother improving it?
This is just disgusting
Electronic Arts Pockets $1.6B from Ultimate Team (https://frontofficesports.com/electronic-arts-pockets-1-6b-from-ultimate-team/)
The California-based company has made more than $7 billion in Ultimate Team revenue since 2015.
All that money and they put out a bug filled disaster each August.

I'm as much inclined to blame the customers as the company. People are shelling out those $ for virtually worthless virtual content that gets renewed every 12 months. Too much disposable income?
I wait until the spring and it gets reduced (Xbox), and I'll never spend money on Ultimate Team. If I had a decent PC, I'd use custom rosters every year and edit the league settings to replicate the real league as mush as possible, and never buy an other copy.

It's insane that people literally spend thousands on packs.
Having no real competition is probably the main reason EA gets away with this BS.
AnonEmouse 01-05-2022, 02:06 PM Oh they have had competition, it just gets sidelined or buried (maybe even bought). EA are all but too big to fail.
TBF while Madden has many flaws, particularly in Franchise, it's still a fairly good representation of the NFL and very playable for those that don't want something out and out realistic. Unless they come out with a real disaster of a game one year, they just keep on with the same formula. It needs a fan boycott and that isn't likely.

Of the $7B EA has put back $10.00 USD back into RD&T
i think 2K is coming out with a NFL game.
They are, but EA has the exclusive rights to a "simulation" football game (it's clearly not as we know). So 2K's game will likely be something more arcade like along the lines of NFL Blitz or something.

Playable lol it hasn't been simulation football or playable since 2012. It's GARBAGE.
They don't even have refs on the field anymore, but it's supposed to be a "simulation". Total joke.
