Chief X_Phackter 11-19-2021, 05:34 PM He was targeted 4 times in that ATL game and caught all 4.. It would be nice to have him back but apparently he's another glass made WR
Other than the bad ankle injury he suffered in 2017 that required surgery, C Samuel's has actually been pretty durable until this crazy groin problem. He only missed two other games due to injury in his first four years.
Chico23231 11-19-2021, 05:38 PM I like S Smith, but with all due respect he has no clue what is or isn't going on in that locker room. Perhaps he can pick a player or two and assume that about their individual performances, but it seems like he's implying that - as a team - they don't care or aren't giving it their all. I can't say I agree with that at all. That's not what I see on the field, after games, in the press, etc... They are competing, and they have true leaders on both sides of the ball, and with the head coach. The problem is they are just making too many mistakes and sustaining too many injuries.
They have played better of late, less mistakes despite the injuries. The question is can they do that consistently.
I agree, I love me some Smith but this is just “hot take” bullshit.
rocnrik 11-19-2021, 07:04 PM The lack of heart was not evident last weekend ! The Past meddling by Snyder has hurt this team and the effect is still in play .. Ron is doing all he can and that win against the SB champs should ignite this team to believe… I’m calling it now

punch it in 11-19-2021, 10:37 PM At this point what is Snyder doing that has a result of what's on the field? He has totally turned everything over to Ron. The Snyder bashing imo is tired and old. We can bash him for stuff off the field, but after Haskins what has he done? Since that pick what has he actually done that has a result of what's on the field? This is Ron's show.
Well the Haskins Pick was a pretty important pick and we could certainly use a first round talent not named DH at this point so that is still being felt and will be for the life of a first round talent not named DH.
Other than that who really knows how involved he has been? Id like to believe not at all because he is an idiot but who knows.
Lastly Dans lousy reputation and off the field bullshit certainly do not make this an appealing organization to play for, coach for, or work for so yeah his off the field bullshit also takes a toll with what you see on the field.
sdskinsfan2001 11-19-2021, 10:47 PM I asked my guy if we win again this week...

skinsfan69 11-19-2021, 11:08 PM Yeah but you can't change the culture in 1.5 yrs.. Plus at the end of the day Dan could fire Ron tomorrow if he wanted. He's still in charge no matter what we want to believe
I think you can cure culture with a winning season. I don't ever hear the teams that are consistent winners talk about culture. Win a playoff game or two. Then all of the stuff that the media pounces on goes away, it's forgotten. If we were having winning seasons and competing for championships no one would really care about the stuff w/ the cheerleaders.

The media isn’t pouncing on anything. The cheerleader “stuff” is heinous and disgusting and inexcusable. Winning doesn’t make that go away.

I think winning teams speak of culture in terms like " the Patriots way of doing things ", or "you know {team name} would never bring in {player name} it just isn't what they do".
I do agree that winning would cure a lot of the bad culture talk, but when you have over 20+ years of mismanagement, toxic environments, and failed club performance, it takes time (and wins) for players, coaches, and fans to believe that you have changed and are doing things the "right" way.

Of course it was but my point is people aka fans would not care as much. We finally won a game and people are talking about possible playoffs. Win a few more games and make it in the playoffs and no one will care about what the attorney put in her report.

Good point about the Patriot way. That was all great until Brady left and they had a losing season. Then we heard rumblings of how difficult it is playing under Belichick, how it isn't fun and players are miserable there...lol. They start winning and here comes the Patriot Way stuff again....
