What's the definition rebuild for this thread? For any decent organization it means consistently in the playoffs and an occasional SB run. For this, the worst organization in pro sports, it seems rebuild means not being a laughing stock. With a QB and some luck I think Ron can do that.

Based on who he found to become our new FG K, I don't trust him to build a good sandwich from a delicatessen with all the trimmings.Yeah. That was the nail in the coffin. I don't have much faith in the organization or any of the top guys. Wright blew it with the ST21 fiasco, Rivera blew it, JDR blew it, and of course Blewit blew it.

The question is certainly worth asking......Rivera has shown very little except for having the team go on a winning streak last year after starting off with a losing record.......now the WFT is 2-6........this is no different from Shanahan, Zorn, or Gruden.
In 2 seasons with WFT:
Spurrier 12-20
Shanny 11-22
Zorn 12-20
Gruden 13-19
Rivera 9-14 (so far)
Ron will be hard pressed to catch Gruden's win total and even Zorn's and Spurrier's wont be easy.
^ Looks are deceiving, anyone that was a fan through the Spurrier/Zorn days knows what a shit show it was back then.

The ST situation was classic Snyder, unfortunately Jason Wright got caught in the crossfire.

In some ways it makes Spurrier and Zorn seem better because it was a way bigger shit show back then than it is now.

Also…this Sheehan tweet kinda made me think, the bullshit Ron has put up with so far in less than two years:
Sheehan:
Well, the competitive portion of the season is over if it wasn't already...on Halloween! But of course we have the Snyders to keep us busy during the bye wk. After emails, hush money, DEA raids, congressional interest...what's next? Can't wait to find out
It’s true, wtf is next? It’s never about football…who knows

I saw it......it was more ridiculous than Pettibone going 4-12 in 1993.....

I was pro-Ron but his lack of success in finding quality qb's is wearing thin on me.
60/40 for now, it will get worse if he can't find someone in the offseason.
I think we need some local journalist to do a deep dive researched article on RRs efforts to land a true QB to date. What better time then the bye week. I want to read a cited and multi page article.
Was there an actual viable option that he passed on?
- Stafford we got outbid and dont think we had a chance.
- Watson? Texans asking price is unreasonably high, lots of baggage
- Fitz? Seemed like a lot here liked the move given the alternatives. Cant blame RR for injury, while Fitz is older at 38 hes been healthy enough lately
- Darnold? Bridgewater? Wentz? Was tyrod taylor available?
- Herbert? We all had a hard on for Chase and Herbert is hindsight thinking and not fair to RR. Plus Haskins was still the anointed one at the time.
- Haskins? Should we have kept him?
Fitz seemed like the best most sensible option.
At this point ... go get Watson for next year? But you have to trade a ton of capital plus sign a red flag to a mega deal ... then hope he fits and works out. Phins reportedly had a deal done but Watson wouldnt settle with the victims out of court and that was one of the Phins requirements.
