You can move the offense all day but the only thing that matters is coming away with points, 23 points in the last 2 weeks is downright pathetic. I like TH as a backup but that's it.

Despite the criticism of Heineke for his errors in the Redszone - he was the one moving the offense. Hope the Redskins don't repeat the Trent Green error when it comes to deciding what to do with him following this season.

Gonna go against my instincts here. TH is not accurate. At all. Maybe GB’s defense just didn’t show up yesterday- i know they have some major injuries on that side of the ball. But regardless of TH and the other 10 guys moving the ball he was still missing alot of reads and easy throws. He isn’t the guy going forward. Even I will say that now.
That slide was and still is unbelievably awful. Just walk in. Omg. And than to blame the refs after the game is mind numbing. Shouldn’t have come to that “call”. The call should have been a walk in touchdown. He looked like a scared child diving there and honestly dive INTO the endzone dude. Uggh.

My “narrative” was about a post made in the gameday thread which was tongue in cheek. Relax.

But if you wanna consider yourself an astute fan and a diehard and a studied WP talking head than when we play shitty football against the Giants and win on a lucky second chance fg - I dont want to hear a win is a win. If a win is a win, than a loss is a loss. Ya cant have it both ways. If you can find victory in defeat than I can find defeat in victory.

Yes I can find solace in the fact that we didn’t get beat the fuck down, but we beat ourselves when the other team doesn’t. Have seen it for years and years. I pointed out the 2010 team the other day that was 6-10 but in alot of games. It is 11 years later and we haven’t managed to win those games still. That is a major fuckin problem.

We knew going into the year everything begins with the defense and it was a god awful shit show. So seeing that start to turn a bit around is a positive cause in order to get back to winning it starts there.

I don’t think anybody is satisfied with the team yesterday, plenty of mistakes to point out which cost us the game. But the team today was better than the team several weeks ago.

It’s really hard to win without a starting QB

Our points off turnover has got to be one of the lowest.

Yes the defense wasn’t terrible yesterday, and maybe they turned a corner. We will see. Hope they did. Hope Fitz comes back. Hope we win alot of games going forward and maybe sneak in with a wildcard. But up until yesterday and including yesterday can suck two bags of dicks.

And if we lose to Denver this TEAM has taken zero steps forward this year.
I have an awful feeling we are going to make Bridgewater look like an MVP candidate.

The last 2 weeks the offense has become the problem and the D has been mostly "good enough".

I actually agree with both bolded statements.
This loss is a loss. And the season looks like it's probably over.

But, if we wanna observe the level of play of this team, just as I was among those saying the win against the Giants was iffy and our D was playing awful, I think it's fair to say the D finally showed some clear signs of improvement in this loss at GB.

Doesn't mean it changes my feelings about where the season is most likely going, but it is what I saw and felt during the game.

That’s the thing. In that Giants “win” we thought oh shit we aren’t that good. Yesterday in that “loss” i never felt oh man we are good now.

But yes the defense was better yesterday. Maybe a fluke. Maybe not. We will see. If moving Collins helped the secondary and the lb corp than awesome. And maybe, just maybe Fitz will come back and we will actually field a pretty complete team. Im not exactly holding my breath though.

Oh I definitely didn't feel we were "good" either. Just some signs of improvement from that burning pile of crap we were up until now.

IMO the offense has been pretty bad almost all season, it is just that the criticism of the defense has overshadowed.

- We all know how terrible our QB play has been all season.
- Gibson is officially having a fumbling problem.
- Samuel being out is an issue, we do not have a true #2 WR
- Our redzone offense is now a problem
- We have squandered opportunities after turnovers
