Yeah and meyer won't last after the bye
Guessing Khan wants to see what'll happen - if the Jags continue losing maybe Meyer will decide to bail and Khan won't have to pay off his contract to dump him.
Supposedly the big issue with the squad is him skipping the team plane - never seen a HC do that before. It's one thing if it's the offseason and you're caught getting some strange - but to skip the flight to hang back and have some drinks/get some strange? In a league where coaches are always dissecting the film the day after the game it's a terrible look. If players think you aren't committed you are gonna lose the locker room real quick.

I guess Khan never saw what happened when Spurrier was here, because all of this sounds just like Spurrier's tenure in Washington.

@AdamSchefter
In-season surprise: Cowboys released LB Jaylon Smith, per source.
And given this:
@spotrac
Wow. Jaylon Smith had 5 years, $50.75M left on his contract.
His release leaves behind $16.6M of dead cap to the #Cowboys
2021: $9.8M ($7.2M cash)
2022: $6.8M
*****************
You have to wonder what has he done to get released by the Cowpukes.

You have to wonder what has he done to get released by the Cowpukes.He didn't recover from the nerve injury and Micah Parsons is the real deal. He was as bad as Bostic, but a lot more expensive.

Nah - he was caught fingerblasting some random girl at a bar while preaching family values to his teammates at the facility.

And it took them 5 years to figure this out?

And it took them 5 years to figure this out?I think JJ is as stubborn as DS, and Jaylon was one of his picks. But now JJ has Micah so Jaylon is yesterday's LB de jour

I'd take a chance on JS
It's statements like these that make me worry about you OK.
JS is as bad in space as Bostic was, probably worse actually - if that is possible. He is slow to react, and unable to recover.
Not to mention he is an ex-Cowboy.

I agree with the first line. We wouldn't be getting Jaylon Smith, pass rusher extraordinaire, we'd be getting Jaylon Smith - cut mid season because he looks embarrassingly terrible next to a quality linebacker.
