P Rich 2.0???
WFT Vs Chargers Pre Game Threadskinsfaninok 09-10-2021, 01:38 PM P Rich 2.0??? Chico23231 09-10-2021, 01:43 PM PFF Fantasy Football @PFF_Fantasy Curtis Samuel will be placed on IR with a groin injury and will miss at least the first three games of the season, per @AdamSchefter Not a good start to things. Our bottom 3 offense is basically the same except Fitz (which could be huge). edit - dont want to discount the chance of a bounce back healthy year for Humphries or D Brown showing himself to be able to stretch the field. It was a fear. Door open for Brown. skinsfan69 09-10-2021, 01:53 PM I give the Chargers the W in a close one simply because they have the better QB. I think Herbert can and will make some plays out of the pocket where Fitz won't be able to do that. MTK 09-10-2021, 01:59 PM The dreaded cross country 1pm start curse will play a factor. Herbert didn't play at all in the preseason so there's no way he'll be ready, right? WFT wins 24-20 on a late defensive TD. Glad you edited. I think our offense is different on several levels. But Sunday will definitely help us re-set our expectations. I do anticipate teams game planning for Chase/Sweat by playing quick ball and avoiding 5 to 7 step drops/long developing plays. Last year it seemed teams molded their play calling to minimize our pass rush. Chief X_Phackter 09-10-2021, 02:11 PM This offense has essentially been without Samuel since he signed. I really don't see how his absence will have any impact whatsoever. The Chargers without Ekeler is a much worse scenario for them, than the absence of Samuel is for WFT. That is why it is important for the back 7 to show some improvement this year, and I think they will. On paper they look to be much improved. Either way, I don't mind them giving up yards between the 20s, as long as the D shuts opposing offenses down in the Red Zone. SunnySide 09-10-2021, 02:24 PM Glad you edited. But Sunday will definitely help us re-set our expectations. yeah .. i kinda tunnel visioned on Samuel for a second and kinda forgot we made other, albeit smaller upgrades. But the negative nancy in me feels like we'll get a handful of games with Humphries until his concussion concerns become a reality. Leno will give us below average play. Samuels being out. Our run game was a big issue last year as it was non-existent and we were predictable on play calling. We have done 0 to address our run game .. except to hope that by being a more vertical down field team, defenses have to defend the whole field and not just 20 yards from the LOS. i dont know man ... Scott Turner has to earn his paycheck this year. SunnySide 09-10-2021, 02:29 PM They'd be dumb not to. Our D is just stacked. As long as we can mask our LBs and the underneath/intermediate stuff ... top 5 is realistic. Im pumped up. Healthy Chase coming off the edge ... Im bart Scott. |
