I would keep out any injury concerns, no need to push players recovering like Matty I or even AG, but in general you want these guys to get game conditioning.

FrenchSkin 08-14-2021, 10:04 PM After re-watching the game, couple of random notes: +Cosmi did really good, some clean up to do, but he's a starting NFL tackle right now +Fitz and Heinicke played really good. A part from the missed TD opportunity to Hemmingway by Taylor, neither of them left anything big on the field IMO +St Juste seems to be at ease out there, we have nice depth at CB (and DB in general) +Saahdiq Charles improved quite a lot, if he stays healthy he can become a quality back up LT for now -Hemmingway had a really bad game, a blatant drop and some ridiculous missed blocks, we're thin at TE behind Logan -Wes Martin sucks, cut him now skinsfan69 08-14-2021, 11:30 PM Feels like we're kinda ignoring the part of preseason is to help our key guys get their conditioning ready to play 4 quarters. You can't just go from playing 1 quarter worth of snaps in the preseason to 4 quarters in the regular season. I thought the idea behind 3 preseason games was to basically eliminate the 4th game where no starters played anyways. The first 3 preseason games should follow the routine of previous years, i.e. the 3rd preseason game your starters should play 3 quarters so they're ready for week 1. they do it in college every year. college games are longer w/ more plays being run because the clock stops for a bit after every first down plus again when someone goes out of bounds. i think you play your starters for a couple quarters in pre season - but not anymore than that. Chief X_Phackter 08-15-2021, 05:26 AM I'd play the starting offense until they score a damn TD - in both games. They have to score...period. Yeah there's an injury risk - that's football. But damn, can the starting O just score some points? calia 08-15-2021, 09:38 AM Lamar Miller and Kelvin Harmon released. Sorry to see that for Harmon - would like to have seen a little more to see what he has, but of course the coaches see him every day. That injury really derailed things for him. FrenchSkin 08-15-2021, 11:00 AM Samuel Curtis activated (https://www.washingtonfootball.com/news/washington-football-activates-curtis-samuel-releases-players) along with today's cuts. TE Hemingway no where to be seen at practice (https://twitter.com/BenStandig/status/1426894487067021322) per Nicki Jhabvala and Ben Standig... logical cut after an ugly game ? CRedskinsRule 08-15-2021, 11:01 AM Both Miller and Harmon have time to get on another team and play in the last preseason game. I think they both have a shot at making some team's 53. Hope to see him Friday. |
