Welcome to the forum Ma’am calia 08-12-2021, 11:04 PM I don’t want to see Chase young anymore this preseason. He’s ready, don’t risk injury That move on Wynn was fuckin nasty. And he dropped Cam like a bad habit. Cam is the size of a LB and Chase treated him like a toy. He’s going to destroy some people this year. Can’t wait. Danny Jones, I hope you have good health insurance. You too Dak. I hope when we win the coin toss we elect to kick first so our D can go out and set the tone (and get us good field position). DelRio must be in heaven with this personnel group. Hopkins is Aniston in The Office. He does the absolute bare minimum to keep his job. Dude has no flare. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/proxy/IvekW6ecXnQLtjjbeiAaOMfrS_1NCeRrtOxg8exLJFkGw9qU4g dFWK8eW8G-Z4k1ceColRi8XVCX6loEJtqQYQllRWgd9fVDfv9nQufL7a4hnZ UQoJchB_mBmSifRZE FrenchSkin 08-13-2021, 02:19 AM Damn…Let me guess, bad angle? I'm actually not sure it was Apke's fault on this one. He has outside contain, he over commits a bit but it's mainly on either #24 Chris Miller or #45 Justin Phillips (or both) for bumping into each other and leaving E gap open. Not great angle by #46 Cole Luke either. (Don't get me wrong, I hope we move on from Apke, but that one isn't on him IMHO) https://media2.giphy.com/media/cQsbucw0zXRtsJ38Gh/giphy.gif sdskinsfan2001 08-13-2021, 02:32 AM I'm actually not sure it was Apke's fault on this one. Man, you put some great stuff out, supported with video. You do your research. Good stuff. FrenchSkin 08-13-2021, 02:37 AM You need to move to the states and work for a team. Man, you put some great stuff out, supported with video. You do your research. Good stuff. Thanks a lot man. I actually have a quite limited football knowledge, when I listen to Cooley, or read Mark Bullock's breakdown, or even watch a bit of NFL GamePass film session, I have a glimpse of just how much I don't know about this sport. I just happen to love it a lot, and a bit more with every snap I watch ^^ (As for the video, my job had me learn basic video editing skills, so when I know what to look for the whole process takes about 4 minutes, while doing something else) sdskinsfan2001 08-13-2021, 02:42 AM Thanks a lot man. That's my video knowledge lol. I don't read in depth about other teams but Bullock has to be one of the best in the business. His stuff is always great. Always look forward to his breakdowns. Would need the All 22 to be (close to) sure about it, but safety #46 doesn't seem to take a very good angle either. I think it’s a combination of Apke’s fault for widening too far, and 45’s fault for trying to flow under the action with a direct route to the ballcarrier. The Pats TE was uncovered and he immediately comes off the line to block 24. And 24 appropriately steps up to take him on. 45 should have seen that and flowed over it but he steps forward and gets caught in the wash. Meanwhile Apke had outside contain but he tries to hook around the lineman and avoid contact like a little bitch. His responsibility there is to charge straight at that lineman and get low, he needs to take out the lineman’s feet so the hole is just a little more narrow. By widening out he just gave the back a bigger lane and did the lineman’s job for him. Apke continues to make mistakes with angles, this is a prime example. Playing in the NFL takes courage and that play lacked it. From a gap responsibility standpoint I thought #24 was at fault, but the way you lay it out makes sense. I still feel like if #24 takes on the block more on the outside, #45 has a clearer lane while staying in his gap. What do you think? Overall not good football for sure. Including Apke. |
