Ha. I think I've said all I have to say about COVID and vaccinations. I think everyone knows where I stand.

You know SD, if you ever get tired of being a MSM shill and want to put in some research, you'd actually discover the real truth. Big gov't just wants to inject you with something that will wipe out your immune system and kill you when the next big disease rolls around (this is a literal, actual factual sentence my aunt told me 2 months ago).

Naw but I just hope everyone makes the right decision for covid for themselves…I think the best way to get the worried folks to the shot is to provide the facts in a clear manor…get that full FDA vac approval completed.
Scare tactics, bad headlines, finger wagging I don’t think is the right way and will only harden people there stances in a deeply polarized environment. I think that WaPost article…the NYT article and headline today, doesn’t help the cause.
Of course the NYT headline this morning as well as this Wa Post article is about as misleading and trash as ever. Cdc says it will make public the so called research today…which is convenient for a Friday news dump.
Another great example of terrible messaging by the administration pushed by “so called credibile” news org.
Does everyone see how this works? And why we have this predicament? JFC. This feeds the doubts about the vaccine
I've gone back and read both the NYT and the WaPo articles. What exactly is misleading or non-credible about either of these articles?

For the WaPost it’s the paragraph that states
It cites a combination of recently obtained, still-unpublished data from outbreak investigations and outside studies showing that vaccinated individuals infected with delta may be able to transmit the virus as easily as those who are unvaccinated. Vaccinated people infected with delta have measurable viral loads similar to those who are unvaccinated and infected with the variant.
And the sub headline from the NYT story has updated from 1 am release to five hours ago:
Breaking News: The Delta variant is as contagious as chickenpox and may be spread by vaccinated people as easily as the unvaccinated, an internal C.D.C. report said.
Updated around noon To:
Delta variant infections in vaccinated people are rare, compared with those who are unvaccinated, the internal CDC report said. But vaccinated people with a breakthrough infection may spread the virus just as easily.
I wonder with these headlines and buried leads of the effectiveness of the vaccines…if we take a poll of folks if they believe the vaccinated transmit covid just as much as the unvaccinated.

So the Post and the Times were transparently reporting information from the CDC. What ledes are being buried? Again, how are either articles being misleading? They are both clearly and transparently reporting CDC reports and internal discussions. The headlines are consistent with the information in the article.

If you’re confusing the ease of being infected with the ease of spreading the disease, that’s not the Times or the Post’s fault. By this time people ought to know and understand the difference. The articles are both clear that individuals who are vaccinated are less likely to contract the Delta variant, and that infected individuals spread the Delta virus at the same rate regardless of vaccination status.

You dismiss updated NYT headline which originally should have been flagged as misinformation by social media companies. That’s irresponsible as well claiming chickenpox transmission rate admittedly without any data to back up. When they post this stuff it decreases the vaccine issue.
I’m not sure if it was in that deck, but there what’s the total break through data that the cdc has like 5,500 total versus how many people vaccinated here? I just see some panic porn, the frame isn’t good.
Pork, and anyone else who hasn’t been vaccinated: You should expect to get this Delta variant. I respect and agree you should have choice and it should always be a choice but the data shows the greatest strength is it’s ability to be spread. The data shows also if your are vaccinated, you have protection against it and if you happen to get it (rare) it will keep you out of the hospital.
But the unvaccinated should expect to get the delta variant, I wouldn’t have said that with the previous covid virus and prior strains.
Simple truth!
Players know this by now.
If they fuck up, they fuck up.
It's almost football season, let's kill this topic already!
