This is a great point.

I also remember folks saying the MRNA style of vaccine was new…unpredictable…and would change DNA…etc. But MRNA research and development been going on for 15-20 years and have come a long way when it comes to vaccinations. We aren’t guinea pigs with MRNA vacs.

You are correct, its not new and doesn't change one's DNA.

My main point was I've noticed the vaccinated are the main people who are ridiculing and ostracizing the non-vaccinated. Quite frankly, we don't know the long-term effects of this trial/emergency vaccine. So, I feel myself and others, who do not want to take the jab, should have the right not to do so without worrying about losing our jobs and being badgered by the vaccinated.

I would have to disagree. I was vaccinated, though i have a natural immunity from when i had it last year. I know this because i shared close contact with my girlfriend for her entire bout with it, and I didnt get it. That being said...Where I work, just like everywhere else, it has become highly politicized. dems get it, and reps dont. Thats just the way its shaken out. I dont take sides. I respect peoples decision for not getting it. I really do. But at the same time, all the people that have decided against, sit in the same room and make sure to tell me, pretty much daily, that Im going to get cancer, or have an enlarged heart, or grow a third eye, and second head and that im kind of garunteed to die from this toxic vaccine that i let the government put in my body. all the while i respect their decision and dont retort. So, it goes both ways....
Yes...there are a lot of people who got the vaccine who are acting shitty to people that havent. but if you think that the unvaccinated arent casting stones calling people like me sheep every day...then you just have your head in the fucking sand.
and this isnt political in nature....im pretty middle of the road, and it seems to me both sides have been pretty shitty during this whole thing.
a sad fact, though, is that the less people there are that are vaccinated, the longer this shit show continues. natural immunity or not. the masks and mandates will continue...im sure of it.

Covid is a Coronavirus and Coronaviruses aren't new. They have been studied for quite awhile now which is the reason a vaccine was able to be created so quickly. Because we understand the basics of Coronaviruses once the Covid genome was sequenced creating a vaccine wasn't very difficult.

Also the MRNA delivery mechanism for the vaccine isn't new, its been around 25-30 years. In fact MRNA is used in a lot of cancer treatments.

Covid-19 is a different strain (or stronger version) of " original" Coronavirus, which IMO was man made, but I digress.

First of all, watch your fucking tone with me ("then you just have your head in the fucking sand"). Come at me with the same respect as I had with you, dude. I can assure you my head isn't in the sand. I'll touch on that one shortly.

Secondly, I don't give two turds about politics. I'm a man; not some political colloquialism. I've also yet to act shitty to anyone who has been vaccinated. Quite a few people have told me they've been vaccinated. Most times, I don't say anything and move on to another topic. The only people I've said anything to was my best friend and another good friend of mine. I merely said to both, "I'm not gonna take, but to each his or her own," and that was the gist of it.

As far as both sides--the vaccinated vs. the non-vaccinated--going back and forth with one another; I'm sure there's attacks from both sides. Heck, I know as I've been ridiculed on another message board per the vaccinated. I'm sure the vaccinated has received similar ridicule from the non-vaccinated. Frankly, I have yet to personally see it. Not in person nor on the handful of sites which I inhabit. On the other hand, I have witnessed in person (as I have an aunt who was somewhat badgering me about getting vaccinated) and more times than I can count from the boards I've ventured upon from the vaccinated going ape shit on the non-vaccinated.

I bet more times than not the non-vaccinated only get into with the vaccinated is when the latter starts imposing their will and agenda on the former. Again, I'm only going by what I've noticed on the message boards in which I've inhabited. I have an idea, for the most part, it's no different for lots of others in person.

I'm sorry to hear your girlfriend had to endure the severity of Covid, and I hope she's doing much better at this juncture. My gripe is if people wanna take the jab, then go right ahead. Just don't impose their agenda on to others. I may not be so nice, whether it's in person or online, when the next person chastises me for not wanting to be administered the jab.

People have every right to say what does or doesn't go into their bodies (go check out what's going over in Israel). If people deem getting the vaccine or not is best for them, then let 'em be.

I really think RR thought the team would do it to help protect him and everyone on the team. IMO he's disappointed that guys aren't being team players about something so simple and easy.

Why is it so "simple and easy?" It's their bodies, and it's their right if they choose to be reluctant, as well as it's the right for people who choose to get vaccinated.

Anyways ....

Washington Nationals All-Star shortstop Trea Turner has tested positive for COVID-19, leading him to exit in the first inning of the team's eventual 6-4 win against the Phillies in Philadelphia on Tuesday night.

Turner was pulled after scoring on Josh Bell's home run in the top of the first. Gerardo Parra replaced him in the lineup.

"I found out right after he scored,'' manager Dave Martinez said. "I had to pull him right out of the game. He's got to get isolated right away. Now, he'll get tested and from there we'll see what happens.''

The timeline for Turner's positive result suggests his test was taken Monday.

You lost your shit with that line.
Go rinse and repeat that research you get from facebook.

Yeah, I wouldn't say masks do nothing. Masks have been shown to be effective I think. They won't protect you from contracting the virus, but apparently do offer some prevention from spreading the virus if you have it.

That's because the virus is a political issue. Thank your Government.

It was inevitable I guess. This virus has polarized the entire planet, and the politics of it (thanks mostly to our fearless leaders) has found its way into every entity, including our beloved sports. The divisiveness in this country is extraordinary, and not just due to the virus.

I don’t think anyone can disagree… even the Va health dept lady who called me today to check on me and get info about my recent covid positive test had to say politics is the main hurdle in the war against this ..I am feeling a little better today and I believe at some point down the road I will get vaccinated.. now I’ve got immunity for a while .. this new delta strain is highly contagious.. it’s my fault I caught it .. peace

Why is it so "simple and easy?" It's their bodies, and it's their right if they choose to be reluctant, as well as it's the right for people who choose to get vaccinated.

I understand that there are NFL players who probably have health conditions that may be affected by the vaccine (i.e. Sweat with his heart issue). But it is a bit hard for me to take serious someone who just doesn't want to get vaccinated without any apparent reason, when they are also making a business decision to play in a sport that has been shown to carry a lot of health risks in the long term.

Also, NFL players always make decisions on their health with a business aspect in mind (i.e. treatment for injury, etc., etc.). So this is not something new for them; however, what is different is that their decision vastly affects others.
