MissouriSkin 05-30-2021, 07:49 PM LOL!!!
He's 1-3, 52% completion percentage, 6 TDs, 4 INTs, 9 Fumbles, QBR = 41.
He might be #6 in the NFC E...
Or lower.....he may improve, but I don’t see how it can be said he showed much of anything last year.

I based it off the eyeball test, in the couple games of his I watched last season I thought he did good enough to keep the job for this year. I did say he needs work as a passer, obviously it's not there yet. But he can keep plays alive and make plays with his feet. That counts for something.
Fitzpatrick is just too inconsistent for me. No doubt he will make plays for us, show us things we haven't seen since Kirk, but he has never been able to be consistent with it. He's gonna wow us with a throw one minute, and the next throw a terrible pick. It's who he is.
Jones is Jones, I'd like to shit-talk him some more but dude's 4-0 against us. Record doesn't lie.
KI Skins Fan 05-31-2021, 10:46 AM Can put Hurts above anyone in the division right now, he just hasn't proven anything especially from the pocket.
It's Dak, Fitz, Jones, and Hurts a distant 4th.
I agree, FWIW. Dak is clearly #1 my mind. I expect Jones to close the gap on Fitz this season. Hurts has a lot of work to do as a capable NFL passer and I don't yet have a feel fo his ceiling.
I think our backup(s) give us a slight edge in the division as far as surviving an injury to our #1 QB.

If the QB 1s went down in the NFCE, I think we’d see less of a drop off than the other teams - not that I’d want to see that.

AnonEmouse 05-31-2021, 05:39 PM Has that ever happened in any division ever? Can't find anything to confirm it or not.

Our depth, including at QB, is much stronger now than in seasons past.
It's nice to know a single injury shouldn't knock out an entire position for us.

Idk about the quality of the opinion in the article, but Warren Sharp whose work serves as the foundation is on the cutting edge of analytics. The premise passes the eye test.

It’s nice to have folks with a plan.

I'd rather Heinecke start than Fitz, as he is only QB on roster any hope of being long term answer. That being said, Flacco is a very solid backup for Iggles, which even though older, is a SB winning QB. He is hands down the best #2 in division.

I love playing more man and moving towards man DBs. Tough to find great man CBs and DBs though, hope we have. Allows you to be super aggressive pass rushing. Richard Sherman (the antithesis of a man CB) is average at best without a HOF FS behind him, versus more Darrell Green type CBs.
I'm not sure I buy that Juste a man CB, especially deeper, but let's hope he is.
FO is clearly reworking roster gradually, DBs, OL, WR, to make it in the mold they want. I expect the same at RB and LB much more next year, and secondary as well, in the draft. We desperately need a home-run threat RB.
