I swear, as a society we don't truly mourn the victims of these crimes.

The most important thing always immediately turns to who can we blame for the killings.

Fuck anyone that will kill someone else for any reason besides self-defense.

Heartbreaking for all of these families that had this happen, especially being close to Thanksgiving.

Sounds like this guy should have lost his access to have guns a while ago.

I personally feel like we don't have enough time to mourn - the next shooting might be right around the corner.

MMA-fighter-turned-porn-actor Aaron Franklin Brink had an immediate reaction when he learned his 22-year-old son had been accused of slaughtering five people and injuring 18 others last weekend in a mass shooting at a Colorado Springs nightspot catering to the LGBTQ community.

A defense attorney called Sunday night and told Brink, who lives in Southern California, that Anderson Lee Aldrich was under arrest for the massacre at Club Q.

“They started telling me about the incident, a shooting involving multiple people,” Brink said Tuesday in an interview outside his San Diego home with CBS 8. “And then I go on to find out it’s a gay bar. You can bash me if you want - I'm 90% sure Fox News played some role, could be minor, could be major, in this kid's or his father's life. But it doesn't matter, because nothing is going to change. We could have a mass shooting with 10+ dead every day of the year and conservatives/the NRA would still cry foul at any legislation to limit access to guns by people who shouldn't have them.

I still don't know why he did what he did - maybe he wasn't accepted by them? Maybe he had conflicting thoughts because his dad would rather he be a violent killer than gay (https://twitter.com/NoLieWithBTC/status/1595528389011595276)? Idk. Not until he mounts his "defense."

I do know my singular problem with you is you immediately gravitate to the most extreme conclusion. The whole point of my other post was that in my theory Fox News is partially to blame, either for influencing his life or his dad's extremely anti-gay rhetoric. Could be 5% to blame, could be 95% to blame. But you totally ignore that to go on the defensive for daring to even say their name. It's why it's useless having a discussion with you - you almost take it personally to see them attacked. Which is hilarious for a guy who claims to not watch or read Fox News.

Btw, yes single parents is a problem. I'm very aware of this as someone who's mother chose to dedicate her life to the cult of Scientology instead of being around to help raise me and my siblings.
