Right and he is still here. Lol. 6 points a game is not a minor tweek. Hell we were 10 points a game from being the highest scoring team in the league. Does anyone think we were close to being the highest scoring team in the league? Stats can be very misleading. A td here a fg there sounds easy. It is not.

I am just saying that the additions of Fitzpatrick and Curtis Samuel, along with whatever they do in the draft, will likely make the offense better, and produce more points per game.

I never said this team was close to being the highest scoring team in the league, but yes they can improve on where they were and get into the top 10 with the additions they have made and an even better defense that has the ability to score, or at the very least, flip the field.

My preference is a stud LB with our first pick.

Our D is our strength -- let's make it stronger with a LB that will destroy people behind that D-Line.

We can continue to build our O-Line with later picks and tackle is deep as we all know.

Just my two cents. We have so many paths we could take, it'd take a really bizarre choice to make me upset.

...And with the 19th pick in the 2021 NFL draft the WFT selects Goober McDouche, Fullback from Cooter County Community College in Georgia.

Completely agree the offense will be better. It cannot be worse. I will be absolutely shocked, and elated, if they are a top ten offense though. Especially if they go Defense with the 19th pick.

Without even an average between the tackles run game .. I dont think out offense can be top 15. There is only so much misdirection and outside tackle sweep plays we can call.

We couldnt run block and we couldnt really call 5-7 step drop, deep developing passing plays.

Hopefully this year we can see how much of our offensive playcalling in '20 was by scheme or dictated by personnel.

Trevon Moehrig, Safety, TCU

With the number of quality WR, OT, and LB prospects that will be available in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, RR grabs the best free safety in the draft at 19 to help shore up the back end of the D.

I’m coming around to this as a possibility.

If JOK, USC kid, no Top Tackles or no top three WR make it...give me the top free safety.

You don't have to buy it, it's just a fact. They scored 21.1 points per game last year, ranked 25th in the league. Six more points puts them at 27.1, good for 10th in the league.

I just don't see O-line as something that they desperately need to address. Yes it requires attention because 80% of them have contracts expiring over the next two years. However, as good as the defense was last year, the schedule is much tougher this year. If they don't address the back seven - and inject some serious talent there, the offenses they will face this year will move the ball at will, just like TB did in the playoffs.

Pass the Kool-Aid, LOL. Previous poster was correct, offense was horrid. We don't have a single elite player on O. We have nothing at QB with any long term potential outside of Hein. Just adding six points to a per game average is not easy with nothing at QB and not a single elite player except RG.

The o-line needs to be addressed for salary cap reasons. We have one lineman who is anything but above average at best, who can't stay healthy, isn't under contract long term. Both Ts free agents after next year, are above 30 then, and are average at best. We can't hand them new deals and keep DL intact. We got owned by teams with better DLs all year long, which is a HUGE reason we only beat one winning team.

You draft BPA, you don't pigeonhole need. Our O was ATROCIOUS, but you can't fix everything in one year. It starts with QB, which we botched already.
We should be improved, but at some point you need elite players on O, especially at LT, QB.

Except that Moehrig isn't a prototypical FS. He's basically an athletic SS and certainly not a deep center fielder FS in NFL. No other safety warrants a 1st round pick.

I’ve heard a different opinion...I’d want a free safety tho.

Ten points a game, in an average, is a TON. You are totally correct. Did anyone here ever take a statistics course, not dumbed down one, but a real one? The more samples in a mean, the harder it becomes to move the mean. Stats are not misleading, idiots misinterpreting them are.
