Just got a text from Marjorie Taylor Greene asking for 15 bucks to get rid of Maxine Waters.

I'll pitch in 30 if you both leave lol.

JFC what an idiot

Rick Santorum says 'there isn't much Native American culture in American culture' (https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/rick-santorum-says-there-isn-t-much-native-american-culture-n1265407)

Santorum, 62, a Republican from Pennsylvania who served in the Senate from 1995 to 2007 and is now a CNN commentator, said there was "nothing here" before European settlers arrived.

"We came here and created a blank slate," Santorum said. "We birthed a nation from nothing. I mean, there was nothing here. I mean, yes we have Native Americans, but candidly there isn't much Native American culture in American culture."

This would set Native American-regular American relations back quite a bit if there was any room for them to get any worse. As it is we basically pretend like they don't exist.

I like Rick Santorum.

But I don't understand why he made this comment. It's not necessarily racist, he didn't say Native Americans deserved to die. But at best, it's just fucking stupid.

I would say ignorant, but he's 62 and well aware of our country's history. So this comment isn't out of not knowing.

What would make anyone say something like that? You can love our country, while admitting our flaws, and honestly discussing our history. Not mutually exclusive.

Note - You can like people and not agree with all of their opinions. Also not mutually exclusive. Face to face, this is easier to know it's true. Little trickier online, because voice inflection and context are extremely important.

Top Trump economic advisor Larry Kudlow says the Green New Deal is gonna make us drink plant-based beer, as opposed to our delicious meat-based beers we enjoy today.

Other than that one gaffe he does a great job of selling fear. No doubt the base will eat that shit up.

Make burgers great again! You can't take away our red meat!

So much face palm here

Larry kudrow with a funny, poor talking point about red meat, climate change plans, etc.

He got properly roasted...

But to act like the GOP is making this point up...no. Let’s review to articles coming and at stating the red meat industry must be regulated do to climate change:

https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2021/4/26/22403599/biden-red-meat-ban-burger-kudlow

“At first blush, this is yet another instance of a fake outrage cycle in the right-wing echo chamber pegged to a lie. But there’s something more distressing here too — it’s the latest example of how efforts to curb the climate crisis and our reliance on meat are becoming just the latest flashpoints in our all-consuming culture wars.”

Washington post

https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2021/04/26/biden-climate-beef-ban/

Scientists say red meat industry should be on chopping block.

Let’s talk the progressives green new deal a couple years ago:

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/mar/07/green-new-deal-clean-meat-hamburger

So I’m glad everyone here agrees we are 1000% not regulating the red meat industry in any shape form or fashions when it’s comes to bullshit climate policy.

Good to know

I love how the media spin has gone from climate change to climate crisis. Why, because the media and left found it much easier to control people through a crisis then an innocuous change.

We are now in crisis, all hail Caesar.

Note this is exactly how Orwellian speak began.

25 years ago it was consistently cold in northern VA from November-April and we got snow every winter.

Now? It's setting records for 90 degrees in May and 70 degree off-and-on days in January. And we're lucky if we see one good snowfall a year.

Don't tell me the climate is doing fine. Stick your mouth on a tailpipe and tell me the quality of the air coming out is good to go.
