Hey why can’t people follow our immigration laws and not come into the country illegally?
Why is following to laws always a problem?
What’s happening down there is bullshit and every single one should be deported and told to follow are existing immigration process.

Securing the border with an existing immigration process is normal
People illegal crossing the border in a chaotic state is not normal

Our government has fucked Americans, illegal immigrants, and immigrants trying to come legally, for years and years in regards to all things immigration related. This goes back a long time, well before even Obama was president. The whole process is a fucking embarrassment. Needs to be scrapped and built from the ground up. But both sides (politicians, not all voters) politicize this as much as possible. I don't believe either side in D.C. wants to fix it and/or they are too immature to try and fix it together.
In terms of legal immigration: I'd like a random lottery from every country in the world. If you want to come here you apply. Then the government keeps a database and researches everyone as best as possible. Once you pass your background check you go onto an approved list. Then at least a couple times per year you have a random lottery and pull from names that are approved. The people that win have a final background check then they are allowed to come here.
In terms of illegal immigration: if you come here illegally, you get sent back, that's it. You would obviously need to start this the date it gets implemented, or maybe back date it for a year or so. It's not realistic (and likely damaging to our state/local economies) to try to find people that came here illegally 5, 10, 20 years ago and send them back. For the people already here, use whatever laws/processes are available to get them greencards, etc. Or scrap it and come up with a more effective means to do it.
Refugees/Asylum seekers: America needs to have a clear definition of what qualifies for each of those. America is better than where I currently live doesn't qualify. And if you want to seek asylum, you follow international processes. Not skip over the whole western hemisphere and come straight to America.
^ People coming from 3rd world countries are often tough to background check, a lot those countries don't keep good records as far as births and deaths go let alone other vital information like credit, arrests, etc.
If anyone had a good immigration solution I'd like to think it would have been figured out by now. It's an enormous issue with a ton of moving parts.

Strangely this wasn’t an issue until January where we had a fucking idiot who told people to start coming once he was President which has lead this crisis.
How about follow the rules and laws of our country as you enter it.

Really? Immigration just became an issue in January?

It would definitely be harder to get people from those countries onto an approved type list. They would most likely have to be monitored more closely when they got here due to limited access to their info from before they get here. But I don't want to leave legitimately good people from those countries out in the cold on possibly coming here to better their lives.

These historic numbers are an issue that the Biden administration caused by there bullshit policy. When you raise your hand and pledge free healthcare to illegals and announce once you are president to move to the border…
Yes this is a crisis Biden created

Who could've imagined progressives and moderates would disagree on hardline action?
Not I.
Implying this is some shocking piece of news when a coal country Dem can shut down any bill he desires (esp. a progressive one touting climate change reform) - only you Chico.
I keep telling myself - don't hit that keyboard - and yet here we are.
