19. Washington Football Team
Virginia Tech OT Christian Darrisaw
Washington might still want to give Saahdiq Charles a shot at left tackle, but he remains a virtual unknown. And though Cornelius Lucas held his own there late last season, we think the team can upgrade.
Darrisaw is a light-on-his-feet blocker with flashes of a mean streak (we’d still like to see it more consistently), and his three years of starting experience make him feel like a very safe selection here for an offense that continues rebuilding.
That sounds like an excellent idea to me
Chief X_Phackter 04-04-2021, 02:06 PM If they love one of the second tier linebacker, like Collins or Bolton, I wonder whether they are thinking about packaging one of their thirds with the second to move up to the top of the second or back end of the first to enable them to take an OT and the LB. I would move up 3-4 places in the first to secure Darrisaw, but I know nothing so they may prefer Jenkins because he has a mean streak
I'd rather trade back and acquire an extra pick or two. There's probably 7-8 starting OTs and 10+ starting LB starters in the top 100. No need to trade up.

I tend to agree, but the quality starting linebacker and OT will be gone by the time we pick in the second, what remains may be serviceable starters, so it is a question would you rather have 2 good quality starters in areas of need or 3-4 average guys..... I don't like to trade up in general but it is a case of what is the best value for the picks you have...... I trust the front office, for now at least, to know more than us and make the right choices

Getting Darrisaw is definitely the safest pick imo. That's a positive. If that's who we pick, I'll be excited.
1 thing, even during Snyder, we've done right, is have great LT play. Most important position in the game, outside of QB.

I’m not sure about that...ima tech fan but I don’t think he is a first round pick.
I was thinking this weekend, who really is the BPA at 19? And I thought about this, the best RB in the draft might be...
Monkeydad 04-05-2021, 04:41 PM Antonio Gibson and Najee Harris would be a fun duo, and cheap for a few years.
Harris would likely be an upgrade in the Barber role.
Chico23231 04-05-2021, 04:43 PM If you want to go with Best Player Available...at 19 who is that?
I think taking the best Free Safety, RB or Guard in the draft is ok at 19. What about the best the slot receiver in the draft like K Toney?
Chico23231 04-06-2021, 11:15 AM My general feeling of what position the Skins will target at 19:
LB: 40%
Tackle:40%
CB: 10%
WR: 10%
I’d give a slight edge to LB right now
Chief X_Phackter 04-06-2021, 11:57 AM I like it. Here's mine:
Trade back: 40% - Of course you need a willing trade partner, but given the depth in this draft at the positions of need, I think trading back could be a great option. However, if Surtain, Farley, Darrisaw, Slater, or Parsons are there at 19, I think you have to select one of them.
LB: 25%
OT: 25%
CB: 5%
S: 5%

Surtain and Parsons for sure
I started to read up about prospects this past weekend...I have less of a clue than ever cause I didn’t watch or keep up with college ball this year. Darrisaw, the linebacker from ND and trying to name top pass rusher in draft seemed to be widest, varying opinions going into the draft.
One thing i kept reading about Darrisaw...lazy, doesn’t finish blocks,’lacks dog. That’s a big concern. Also heard he is maybe the most athletic of the olineman and can make any block.
