No apology necessary, we're all just thinking out loud.
Looking back at their time together, the stats don't represent anything overwhelming, but the familiarity would likely be a plus.

Humphries has some elusiveness in him, good YAC threat. You can see how he works underneath and shakes free in a lot of cases when attention is diverted to Mike Evans. He should find similar opportunities here with attention on Samuel, Terry, and Logan Thomas.

When you consider the number of targets that Fitzpatrick had to throw to in Tampa, Evans Godwin Brate Howard, it is actually quite a sizeable amount of catches. It could also mean that defenses didn't cover him.

Yeah, I'm just saying that Fitz only had like 10 starts in Tampa in his two years there, and some sporadic minutes between starts, so there's not a lot of stats between the two. But being around Humphries for two years on the practice field and in some games is a good thing with regard to chemistry.
I think it could be a great "under the radar" type of signing, and would most certainly allow them to move on from S Sims Jr.

Humphries in Tampa surrounded by Evans and others is Crowder when Crowder was surrounded by Garcon and Jackson. So similar, down to the injury risk and everything.
Good player who can be most impactful when there are good receivers operating around him. Just so happens we have McLaurin and Samuel.
It would work well.
