Rashard Higgins back to Cleveland. That was one guy I liked as fall back if we didnt land Samuels.
No Jayon Brown, no Rashard Higgins ... oh well.
Brown's resigning with the Titans surprised me. Teams in the NFL must be really worried that he may not get back to what he was pre-injury. He got much less than I thought he would.

Article after article had him really liking the Titans organization and teammates .. plus that injury probably reduced his market a bit, he was given a full medical clearance ..
This way he gets about 5m, can ball out for 1 year and hit FA next year > FA this year anyway
KI Skins Fan 03-18-2021, 01:55 PM Steve Sims who?
He was such a disappointment last year.
Yes, but he played very well in 2019. I thought he could make the next step up in 2020 but he seemed to lack the speed and explosion he had the previous season. At this point, I have no idea what to expect from him going forward.
Schneed10 03-18-2021, 02:03 PM I voted B on our FA after 3 additions.
Because all the signings we made makes absolute perfect sense and the team is improved.
But the gaping hole at LB worries me, and I really don't see what was wrong with giving KPL 3.5M/yr.
Wrong way to think about it though. We know free agency isn't finished, not by a long shot. Dudes will keep signing for the next month. A week will go by and then we'll add somebody. Another week will go by and we'll add someone else.
So when you grade the moves so far, you have to do just that, grade the ones we've made so far. For the rest of the openings all you can do is give an incomplete - aka leave them out of your thinking.
When we get to June then you can grade it as a concluded thing, with omissions factored.
It's a definite A on the three guys they've added. Yeah we still need LBs but I assume that's coming in the next few weeks. Only if they fail to address it will I take umbrage.
AnonEmouse 03-18-2021, 02:04 PM Pie in the sky I know, but Philip Lindsay is an FA now. Can't help wondering what options having him and AG in the backfield would offer.

He's definitely going to be facing an uphill battle to make the team.

It's a definite A on the guys we've added. There's no arguing that.
My B comes from letting KPL go, while we could've signed him on the cheap and been looking for one starting LB instead of 2.
FrenchSkin 03-18-2021, 02:32 PM Understood, but the poll reads "so far" and to me, that makes it an A. Hard to expect a better start to FA than they've achieved, IMO. I'm confident that they have a plan for LB.
*Edit - I see Chief already made pretty much the same comment. Sorry, didn't read page 13 before responding.
No no, your point about grading the FA "so far" is a totally valid one. As I said in my reply to Schneed, I'd include who we've let go in this "so far" evaluation.

I agree, but given moves so far, I have to think there's a plan in place. I'd be surprised if they don't sign an FA LB soon, but I suspect they will add 1 or 2 more via the draft anyway.
We need some serious upgrades at LB. If we can't do significantly better than KPL something is seriously wrong. I'm sure Ron and Jack have a plan. The offseason literally just started.
