The rookie Qb's look good cause no one is game planning, vanilla defenses, basic coverages, some are playing against 2nd and 3rd stringers. Reality will set in week one. Like all rookies they're going to have their lumps.
You're right, and the pre-season rookie QB hype is, as always, ridiculous.
You can see Zach Wilson's progress in mechanics, throws and confidence though. Difference in a week is an encouraging sign for his future.

Sure he's gotten off to a good start with some encouraging signs.
But he hasn't been tested yet. Preseason is not a good indicator of success.

Caleb Brantley (who exempt himself fmor 2020) is unsigned. not even sure he got a camp invite anywhere.
Thaddeus Moss, may make the Bengals as 3rd string TE, got that LSU connection with Burrow.
Sua Cravens - finished his degree w USC, part of their pre and post game radio. Seems happy with his life choices, has a baby girl.
