Yeah I understand where you're coming from as an advocate of prison reform too. I think for most serious non-violent offenders an emphasis should be placed on rehab to lower the recidivism rate too.

But this wasn't just domestic violence, this was attempted murder. I don't have any sympathy for that, even if it was man on man I really don't have a problem locking the violent ones up. If you want to rehab him after he serves time that's fine, but I have a hard time thinking the punishment for attempted murder should be a mental health facility.

If he wasn't cognitive of what he was doing then he needs locking up in a secure facility, I would never suggest freedom. But sticking mentally ill people in gen pop only makes things worse all round. If he did know what he was doing then yes, its attempted murder and put him away.

Lovie Smith is back as DC in Houston, now why would Deshaun want to stay for this shit show. I thought Lovie was done years ago.

Sports book is open in Virginia now...

Whose gambling for the game?

I think I’m gonna make my first legal wager...taking the Bucs on the money line

Rams and McVay basically admitted that the Goff contract was fucking terrible.

He is younger than Stafford, drafted just as high, and was traded for Stafford and a cajillion picks.

I kinda feel bad for Jared Goff, man came back from a broken thumb to play in the playoffs a week later and he gets discarded like this. I think McVay and co. could use a lesson in how to talk to players if they're on the block.

Whats the chance the Lions try and flip Goff for a 3rd or so?

Ability to "extend the play" seems to be heavily valued for modern QBs and I dont think Goff checks that box.

I didnt watch much of the Rams but he looked good against us, 3 td drives in the 1st quarter. I didnt watch his games down the stretch where Wolford became relevant.

I like the idea of keeping both our 3rds ... but wouldnt Goff (71.4 pff grade, almost 4k yards in 15 games, 67% completion %, 7.2 pass yard avg) be an immediate upgrade for us?

Cap hit is 27M in 2021, then 25M per year after that through 2024.

id put Goff in consideration. He is better than what we currently have and seems decent enough at presnap read, make quick decisions post snap.

Not a fan of Goff at all especially for the price tag. I think he will struggle to match the numbers he put up with the Rams now that he won't have McVay in his ear.

Lions have said they want Goff and look forward to having him.

If the Lions didn't want Goff, they'd have taken Carolina's offer, which included pick #1.8, over the Rams' offer.
