Kyle Allen and Heineken played better and are much better options than Alex on field. Alex not healthy enough to take the field...it’s pretty apparent at this point
It’s a massive waste of cap space

You say reality check, but your first two lines are speculative.
AS may retire, but he certainly doesn't need to go. His presence and ability at least sets a bar for any other qb to beat out. Is he a full year starter? probably not, is he a helluva good bridge qb? Definitely.
Watson and Wentz are both likely to have serious trade offers, and both teams would be as foolish as the Skins were with Williams to not consider getting compensation now vs a year from now.
I do agree I don't want to trade up for an unproven starter. If you trade the 19th pick it has to be for a qb you know will start day 1 (at which point AS can be gone).

Any “serious” trade offer is going to be for Watson. I wouldn’t classify a trade offer as being “serious” unless you are talking about multiple 1st and if any team offers that for Wentz, much less even one 1st, they are more stupid than the Rams.

If the Raiders want to move Carr, I could see us making a move for him. The rumor is WFT giving up 2 1st rd picks that Vegas uses to pursue Watson. I would consider giving up 1 1st rd pick for Carr not 2. Still think Watson stays in Houston and will cave once his pockets start getting affected.
Carr's stats are quite solid below. High completion percentage, consistently a 4,000 yd passer, and still will be only 30 starting the 2021 season.

Does everyone realize how stupid Houston would be to move Watson. I’m sure the new GM will not allow it

If we give up two 1st for Carr and it somehow helps OAK get Watson i will be seriously seriosuly pissed off.
i give up 2(1st) for Watson, i don't think i even give 1(1st) for Carr.

I agree. Nick Caserio is well aware how important a good QB is after 2020 season.

Watson will get traded eventually and it’ll probably be to Miami. They have the picks and QB to do it. Houston can’t make Watson play, and he said he’s 100% done there.
If we give 2 first for Carr I’ll be pissed. He’s not even that much better than Kirk if he even is at all.
I’d give up two 1s for Fields or Wilson and I hope that’s what happens at the end of the day.
Keep Alex for one more year but reduce his salary if he is willing to do so and bring Fields in to learn under him. Rivera played Cam his whole rookie season so he’s not scared to do that I’m sure with Fields or Wilson even.
If Dallas is stupid enough to let Dak walk then you go all in for him but I highly doubt that happens.
We are really down to a few options guys and trading up seems to be the most realistic.

I have been thinking that if Wentz really wants to leave Philly then they will approach him to re-structure his deal to facilitate the trade, so the cap hit won't be as bad

No to Wentz. He’s injury prone and honestly I have bad vibes from the Mcnabb trade.
I’m tired of other teams Washed QBs. Trade up for one of these guys this year and build around him.
