Raiders haven't said anything about trading Carr. The 2 x 1st thing is press speculation. Even if they do move him, I wouldn't expect more than a 1st and even then that's a push.

The more I think about it, and see the costs associated (picks and contract) with trading for someone else's current starter, the more I'm coming back to bringing in someone like Fitz and drafting a QB. If Smith does try to go another season and doesn't retire/get cut, then maybe we can go with him early in the season, but I'd then expect a draftee to be taking over at some point.

Smith won't be back.

Are you under the impression that Raiders games haven't been broadcast outside of the Bay area?

Have you watched every game or just a few here and there?

Odds are not predictions in the true sense.

I disagree , they think they can make the betting public do what it is they want them to do.

Rivera said that the team is not going to force themselves to find a QB this offseason (https://www.nbcsports.com/washington/football-team/ron-rivera-says-washington-not-hurry-find-franchise-qb), which is a relief to me. Yes we now have an opportunity to become a team that has great opportunity to enter playoffs and possibly SB but we need to be careful to not mortgage our future for a short-term goal.

I think Ron has shown he likes to be aggressive but he also has a limit. They went big on Stafford and Cooper but ended up losing out once the stakes got too high. I'm perfectly fine with that approach.
